In our previous articles, we had shown that the main work of being made perfect in Christ Jesus is to get out of our Self-Centeredness and be Christ-Centred. God knows us through and through. So he places us in those areas with those people who will function as his tools to make ourselves perfect in Christ Jesus. It is not the work of any clergy. When a human says that he/she can make another person Perfect in Christ Jesus, he is trying to be bigger than God. The Psalmist(Psalm 139) makes it clear that ONLY God knows us in our entirety. How can these white clads know anything about us to make us perfect in Christ Jesus?

The New Man vs the Old Man
To understand how we are made perfect in Christ Jesus, we ought to understand the concept of the New Man vs the Old Man. Paul often explains the contrast between the Old and the New man in his Epistle. He uses these contrasts through different other terminologies like Spirit/Flesh, Inner Man/Outer Man etc. When we talk of these 2 natures, you need to bear in mind the following formula.
- Spirit = Spiritual Man = Inner Man = New Man
- Flesh = Carnal Man = Outer Man = Old Man
Biblically Speaking, a Human Being is classified as an individual with these three sections
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.1 Thess 5:23
Paul is making a difference between a sinner and a Born Again person. He speaks about a sinner as one who is DEAD.
In the past you were spiritually dead because of your disobedience and sins.Eph 2:1
He goes on to say that in that old state of sinfulness, we had a pre-occupation. That preoccupation is gratifying our Flesh.
3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.Eph 2:3
Paul is saying that our Old Man is a state where the Spirit portion of our being is DEAD and we were basically Soul+Body. When we are Saved, the dead state of our Spirit is given new life and we are led by the Spirit part. Our Body is basically a Slave and it has its own cravings. In our earlier state, the Soul bosses over the Body. However, in the new state, the Soul and the Body is under the rule of the Spirit.
- Old Man = Soul(Ruler) + Body + Dead Spirit = SELF CENTRED LIFE
- New Man = Living Spirit(Ruler) + Soul + Body = CHRIST CENTRIC LIFE
The Temptations of Jesus
To know how the New Man will behave in situations of life, we can look at how Christ dealt with the temptations he faced. If you are a born again child of God and you are being placed in life situations which are not appealing to your soul or body, rest assured that it is God’s way of testing the strength of your inner man.
The First Temptation
And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.Matt 4:3-4
Notice how the Spirit dealt with the situation. The Body was craving food and the Soul wanted to get that elated feeling of proving himself to be the SON OF GOD. However, as the Spirit was the Ruler, he negated the desires of both the Body and the Soul to DO the WILL OF GOD. The Spirit’s way is NOT TO MISUSE YOUR POWER for YOUR OWN GAIN/NEED. A Self-Centred Man would have done the opposite of what a Christ-Centred person would do.
Do you think that your TPM Ministers who are over-indulgent with food and who creates multiple kitchens for different ranks of people, can make you perfect in Christ Jesus?
The Second Temptation
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.Matt 4:5-6
The Soul craves Attention and Exaltation. It loves the feeling of putting oneself at risk and forcing God’s hand on your behalf. It loves SHOW-BUSINESS. It wants to prove “SEE MY GREATNESS and HOW SPECIAL I am”. But if the Spirit is the ruler, you will discard those temptations and Give Preeminence to the WILL OF GOD. We should never use scripture/promises of God to Tempt him. The Spirit will make you use the STAIRS to climb down rather than jumping down the pinnacle misquoting a scripture. Notice how Jesus replied to the tempter.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.Matt 4:7
Do you think that your TPM Ministers who tempt God by putting their own life at risk, quoting scriptures of healing would make you perfect in Christ Jesus?
The Third Temptation
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee if thou wilt falls down and worship me.Matt 4:8-9
If the Soul is not ruled by the Spirit, it will always want to subjugate and dominate others. It would want to put others under its rule. Whereas the Spirit is all about Serving and Sharing. That is why Jesus instituted his Church where the greatest of them will be the Servant of all.
11 The greatest among you will be your servant. 12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.Matt 23:11-12
Now consider your TPM Ministers who are obsessed with ruling others. Their doctrines and practices are filled with Narcissist ideas. Their doctrines are absolutely NOT ABOUT SERVING OTHERS. Do you think these people will make you perfect in Christ Jesus?
TPM Ministers = People full of Carnality, Masquerading as Spiritual people
I will sign off now with a sermon from M T Thomas in which he is obsessed with about Ruling others and structuring his government of eternity.
