In our previous article, we discussed how God classifies the Israelites as STIFF-NECKED people. Therefore, to remove their stiff-neck, they have to go through a Tribulation period which is also called Jacob’s Trouble by Jeremiah.
Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he shall be saved out of it. Jeremiah 30:7
After Jacob has gone through the trouble they will be saved by the Messiah and then will the Abrahamic Covenant Land be given to them. In the process, many neighbouring nations will be crushed by Messiah in his second coming. This detail is given to us by none other than Balaam in his prophecy about Israel.
The Prophecy of Balaam for Israel
Balaam was a non-Israelite who was hired by Balak the king of Moab, to curse the Israelites. Instead of cursing the Israelites, he blessed Israel. However, more than half of the blessings of Israel was about a later time when the Messiah would rule them.
Look at this picture and see how Balaam viewed the SYMBOLIC CROSS which would bring Salvation to the entire world. Balak is showing him the Israeli Camp.
The Below scripture is about Balaam’s prophecy regarding the future of Israel during the end times. This is taken from Numbers 24:15-25
Balaam’s Fourth Message
15 Then he spoke his message:
“The prophecy of Balaam son of Beor,
the prophecy of one whose eye sees clearly,
16 the prophecy of one who hears the words of God,
who has knowledge from the Most High,
who sees a vision from the Almighty,
who falls prostrate, and whose eyes are opened:
17 “I see him, but not now; (during the last days)
I behold him, but not near. (during the last days)
A star will come out of Jacob;
a sceptre will rise out of Israel.
He will crush the foreheads of Moab,
the skulls[b] of[c] all the people of Sheth.[d]
18 Edom will be conquered;
Seir, his enemy, will be conquered,
but Israel will grow strong.
19 A ruler will come out of Jacob
and destroy the survivors of the city.”
Balaam’s Fifth Message
20 Then Balaam saw Amalek and spoke his message:
“Amalek was first among the nations,
but their end will be utter destruction.”
Balaam’s Sixth Message
21 Then he saw the Kenites and spoke his message:
“Your dwelling place is secure,
your nest is set in a rock;
22 yet you Kenites will be destroyed
when Ashur takes you captive.”
Balaam’s Seventh Message
23 Then he spoke his message:
“Alas! Who can live when God does this?[e]
24 Ships will come from the shores of Cyprus;
they will subdue Ashur and Eber,
but they too will come to ruin.”
25 Then Balaam got up and returned home, and Balak went his own way.
As per the above prophecy, its only during the last days that Israel will have control over the land promised in the Abrahamic covenant as per this map. Note the highlighted text in the prophecy.
The Deception of the Jewish people
We all know that the trigger for the Great Tribulation would be an event which was prophesied by Daniel and then later confirmed by our Lord Jesus Christ and Apostle Paul. Let us look into those passages.
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate setup, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Daniel 12:11
When ye, therefore, shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Matt 24:15
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 2 Thess 2:4
Now if the above passages have to be fulfilled, we need the 3rd Temple to be instituted. The small piece of land in Jerusalem over Mount Moriah is currently a contended place. However, soon the issue will be resolved and the temple built. Very recently, the Arab Nations of Saudi Arabia, UAE and other close allies have taken steps to normalise their relationship with Israel. They have initiated opening of Israeli Embassies in their land. This is a very significant change and these Arab nations seem to have thrown the case of the Palestinians under the bus.
Do you know what caused the change in this relationship with the Arabs? Read this below open letter from the Israeli Sanhedrin to the Arabs and you will understand the cause.
“Dear brothers, the distinguished Sons of Ishmael, The great Arab nation,
“With the gracious help of the protector and Savior of Israel, Creator of the world by covenant, we declare that the footsteps of Messiah are evidently heard and that the time has come to rebuild the Temple on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem in its ancient place.”
“We, the Jews who advocate building of the Temple, are applying to your Honorable ones, who were nominated by their peoples to give oath, raise vows and gifts to the Temple as prophesied by prophet Isaiah concerning your essential role and honorable position in keeping the Temple and supporting it with lamb sacrifices and incense in order to receive God’s Blessings.”
Raise your eyes and look about: They have all gathered and come to you. Your sons shall be brought from afar, Your daughters like babes on shoulders. As you behold, you will glow; Your heart will throb and thrill— For the wealth of the sea shall pass on to you, The riches of nations shall flow to you. Dust clouds of camels shall cover you, Dromedaries of Midian and Ephah. They all shall come from Sheba; They shall bear gold and frankincense, And shall herald the glories of Hashem. Isaiah 60:4-6
“By virtue of this, we are certain that you will choose peaceful means and avoid all paths to hostility and violence. And we are sure that together we shall open doors to love and respect.”
The letter was signed by 23 respected Rabbis who have received smicha (Rabbinic ordination) for the purpose of re-establishing the Sanhedrin. They hope to hold a conference with Arabs.
Rabbi Yeshayahu Hollander, a member of the Sanhedrin who signed the letter, felt it will serve to be an important bridge to the other nations.
Rabbi Hillel Weiss, the spokesman of the Sanhedrin, explained that the letter is not asking for monetary support or political permission from anyone. “The Sanhedrin is not asking for permission from foreign governments or from the Israeli government. Building the Temple is not political or legal. It is a mitzvah (Torah commandment) incumbent upon the Jews” Rabbi Weiss stated. He added that the construction of the 3rd Temple is a biblical imperative and that Arabs – as descendants of Esau and Ishmael – should “be prepared to take their part in serving God.”
With these kinds of initiatives happening in the middle-east we should not be surprised if we hear that the temple is getting constructed by the Jews with the support of the Arabic Nations.
You must not doubt that the Jews do not know about Jesus. It is their hatred towards Jesus that is pushing them to make friends with Arabs to construct the temple so that they can go back to the Old Covenant which was replaced by the New covenant. Their gathering back to Israel is not because of any repentance but because of their STIFF-NECKED attitude. They are rushing headlong to an event that will cause their Stiff-necks to be broken and be tortured by their enemies.
For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished, and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Zac 14:2
