In the previous article [1] of this series, we saw how TPM tramples on the God’s institution of marriage by elevating their man-made traditions. We saw how TPM callously calls marriage a defilement and a “lower plane of spirituality” when God calls it holy.

In this article, we will look at how those man-made traditions exhibit a full-blown prideful and elitist spirit. We will be looking at some excerpts from TPM’s publications and see how TPM twists God’s word and tries to glorify themselves in a way no man ought to.

Something To Keep In Mind Before Reading Further

The LORD detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with him.” (Pro. 11:1)

If you are someone who has bought into TPM’s teachings, I ask you to read the above verse. It speaks of dishonest scales. While reading this article, ask yourself, if the excerpts below were from an organization other than TPM would you have been okay with it, or would you have said: “I can’t believe someone would glorify themselves to such an extent”? Wouldn’t you find them blasphemous? If you are using honest scales, you would find these excerpts from TPM as reprehensible as if it were from an organization other than TPM.

An Exclusive Anointing

Excerpts from TPM Publications

“ Servants of God have a special anointing that no one else in the world can have. We must use it. Then our victorious life will become a song in eternity” (Zion, The Perfection of Beauty, Page 28)

I did a quick search on the word “anointing” in the New Testament. Surely if TPM has apostolic teachings, the NT must be rife with such terminologies? There are actually 3 mentions of anointing (excluding the 2 or 3 mentions of anointing the sick during Jesus’ ministry and the sinful woman anointing Jesus at Simon’s house)

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know.” (1 John 2:20)

As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.” (1 John 2:27)

Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;” (James 5:14)

Zion, TPM's Idol - Part 3Why don’t we see a mention of a “special anointing that no one can have” in the New Testament? Could it be that such a teaching is unbiblical? Something made up by TPM to show they are special?

To reiterate what I said in the last article if such an “anointing” was a prerequisite for becoming an elder/overseer in the church why doesn’t Paul set forth these conditions when spelling out the qualifications of elders/overseers in the NT? You see friends, you have to choose between what the bible says and what TPM says. Both cannot be right in this regard.

Moreover, the motivation for acquiring such an anointing is for a song to be sung about their lives in Eternity. Is that a motivation a Christian should have? Shouldn’t our motivation be to serve and glorify God in Eternity?

TPM Saints – The Source Of Joy

Excerpts from TPM Publications

“ The joy of the whole earth is mount Zion (Ps 48:2). The saints of Zion become the joy of the whole earth. One day the saints of Zion will be taken away from this world (at the rapture). When that happens, joy also will be taken away from this world. There will be absolutely no joy left in the world. All that will be seen in the world will be fights, quarrels, bloodshed and famine. Then the world will understand what Psalm 48:2 means” (Zion, The Perfection of Beauty, Page 29)

“Not only now, but in eternity too, the saints in Zion are going to be a joy to others. They will be the joy of New Earth, New Heaven and New Jerusalem” (Zion, The Perfection of Beauty, Page 28)

This is a perfect example of TPM ministers seeing themselves as the subject in scripture when they are supposed to see God as the subject. TPM quotes Psalm 48:2 and concludes this is about them.

They couldn’t be more wrong.

The temple was built on Mount Zion. That is where the glory of God would physically manifest. That is where the Jewish people would look and say “God is with us”. That was the sign of God being with them. Zion was the joy of the whole earth because that’s where God was, the source of all joy.

In the New Testament, we the believers are God’s temple (1 Cor 3:16, Eph 2:19-22). So the joy that we have is because God indwells us. God is the source of true joy (Romans 15:13, Rom 14:17, Gal 5:22, 1 Thess 1:6, Ps 16:11). It is the fruit of the Spirit. It is the absence of God’s spirit that causes the lack of joy. Do you remember what happened to Saul when the Spirit of God left him?

To say that the absence of TPM ministers in the world will result in absence of joy in the world is preposterous. It usurps God as the true source of joy. It seems to me for TPM ministers, the world revolves around them. They might not do this intentionally. It is because so much of their theology is man-centric, such a view is inevitable.

Even in Eternity, God is the source of joy. To suggest otherwise is blasphemous.

Do this simple test: Look at the faces of most of the TPM ministers, do you see any joy in their faces? Especially the sisters who slog like slaves. If you cannot perceive any joy in their faces in their own Faith Home Kingdom on earth, How are you expecting that to happen in eternity?

An Imperfect God

Excerpts from TPM Publications

“A glorious day is going to come when the 144,000 saints will be ready for Zion. That is when the Lord will have perfect joy. ‘The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout’ (1 Thess 4:16). Perhaps He will come singing the song of Zion” (Zion, The Perfection of Beauty, Page 33)

Such is the level of delusion caused by these man-made doctrines that TPM claims that God’s joy is dependent on them. The implication here is that God has an imperfect joy and until TPM makes up the 144,000 number, God’s joy will be imperfect.

Dear reader, is that the kind of God you serve? An imperfect God who lacks? God did not create us because He lacks something. God created us because he is the epitome of love and joy and all things good. God created us for His glory.

What does Scripture say? It is we who lack joy.

These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.” (John 15:11)

You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy” (Psalms 16:11)

But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves.” (John 17:13)

Let us analyze some stats.

“42 brothers and 97 sisters chose to follow the Lamb of God and suffer with Him, surrendered for the ministry” (VoP March 1996)

“39 brothers and 72 sisters were separated for the glorious ministry of the Lord.” (VoP March 1997)

“45 and 94 sisters were enrolled in the army of Christ as full-time ministers” (VoP March 1998)

“46 brothers and 129 sisters were separated as full-time servants of God for the glorious ministry at this convention” (VoP March 1999)

“39 brothers and 126 sisters were ordained for full-time ministry” (VoP March 2000)

“108 sisters and 43 brothers were ordained for the full-time, consecrated ministry” (VoP March 2002)

This year 64 sisters and 36 brothers were ordained as ministers.

That is an average of 150-200 every year. If God’s joy is dependent on an organization like TPM, He’s going to have to wait a long time. With dwindling numbers, the 144,000 is a distant pipe dream. This statistic alone refutes TPM’s doctrine of Zion. With only a 100 getting ordained this year, it’ll take a 1000 years to reach the 144,000 number (That is assuming they continue in ministry and don’t “fall away”).

Thank God we don’t serve such a God! We serve a perfect God who is the source of all joy and lacks nothing!

The Pinnacle Of Spirituality

Excerpts from TPM Publications

“No one could learn the song of Zion (Rev 14:3). What is the meaning of that? Others cannot live this highest spiritual life. Many cannot understand how one can live forsaking one’s parents, how one can live a faith life, how one can live a clean life with clean thoughts” (Zion, The Perfection of Beauty, Page 34)

TPM claims to have reached a pinnacle of spirituality that no one else can reach. I once said to my mom that I see no difference between a TPM sister who has stepped down for ministry, and you, a married woman. Both have left their parents’ home, cook for the ones living in the new home, wash and iron clothes etc. How can they call that a “ministry”? What we read in scripture is that ministry included going from town to town preaching the gospel. That is not what TPM does.

Yet, these are the claims we hear. That TPM ministers alone have the highest spiritual life with a “clean life with clean thoughts”. I ask again if these are indeed apostolic teachings, why didn’t the apostles in the bible have a clue? Why aren’t the writings of Paul and Peter filled with “zion, zion, zion”? That’s something to think about.

Conclusion

I said at the beginning of the article to use equal scales. Do these excerpts disturb you? Are these the words of someone who seeks to glorify God alone? Would you have found it reprehensible if these claims were made by a non-TPM pastor? Use honest scales.

Not only in their doctrines, we can see them using different scales in their behavior. An excellent example of that can be seen in their Kitchens and Conventions where the food is being served according to your Organizational grade. Do you know what God thinks about it?

13 Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.

14 Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.

15 But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

16 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the Lord thy God.

Deut 25:13-16

Is it any surprise that many of the TPM Clergy live a Short life?

  1. The more we dig into these deep revelations of TPM, the more we realise that it is satanic. It is as satanic as the Mormons or the JWs.

I pity the poor souls who are trapped in this cult. They think that they are on a New Jerusalem bound train but a simple reading of these articles reveals that they are heading to hell.

Please continue to expose the true colours of this satanic system. You never know how God is using these writings to open the eyes of the blind.

  2. This series “Zion the Idol of TPM” reveals how heart of T.U Thomas was, who wrote this book. Experts taken from his book are evidence that he loved self glorification beyond our imagination (Zion where he assumed he will go). Here is evidence for co-relating to what i am trying to say.

//“ The joy of the whole earth is mount Zion (Ps 48:2). The last line “then world will understand ….” is like saying then will people know who we are!!”

Some people looking at his outward appearance and his sweet sermons consider him as humble holy saint, but his words written in book (Matt 12:37) are clear picture of what his heart imagined secretly to ascend to throne of God in congregation of north. Some people may consider him as hero of TPM faith but reality is laid bare before our sights.

    • I once heared in a bible study by a relatively new brother that Divine healing means dying for Christ. By then they realised that healing didn’t work and started masquerading it as dying for Christ. In luke 5:31 Jesus himself said, the sick needed a physician. In the next chapter He again healed many. But sadly our past clergies tried to emmulate the penance method of attaining nirvana as seen by practicing asetics gave a biblical twist to it and called it divine healing. God is never pleased with such gimmicks and in fact abhors it.

  3. Dear admin,
One question often arise in my mind is do the TPM ministers really live a holy life without any sin or achieves perfection in Love, faith and holiness before they die? I often think how could they live a life without taking any medicine. Normal person even though he is a true believer can’t live like this. This makes the TPM ministers distinct among other Pentecostal Christians. Is our God really honors their faith in divine healing and cures all their diseases to live a long life? I have heard an Elder mother from Irumbuliyur lived more than 90 years. I tried living in faith without taking medicines for my head ache problem but I was not healed and I couldn’t bear the pain and had to take medicines. How could they bear this type of diseases and get healed if God is not without them?

Another thing, TPM ministers says these doctrines are not revealed to Paul or Peter and were hidden in the bible for long time and only revealed to Pastor Paul & co during these last days before our Lords return. Is it a valid point according to Bible?

    • Brother,
The question is “Are you doing all these in obedience to the commandment of Jesus” or are you doing it as a UNILATERAL EFFORT to make yourself acceptable to the Saviour?
Do you know according to TPM’s Doctrine of Salvation, you CANNOT BE SAVED and RESURRECTED, even if One drop of Allopathic Medicine has entered your body. It is a different matter that nobody cares for this doctrine of TPM even in their clergy. I know that most of TPM Ministers do take Medicine but they have a tough time accepting their state. All these things they do are not in accordance with the Bible, but according to Alwyn’s doctrine. Sadly they are not consistent in applying similar logic to other portions of the scripture.

As far as Long Life is concerned, it seems you have not done a thorough research. Most of them who do not go for medications and eat this luxurious fat-filled food, fall sick quite early and die. So many of them die in their 40s and 50s which is not a testimony if they want to project the authenticity of their Divine healing Doctrine.
Please do a little scratching on the surface and check in the Faith Homes and see if this is true.
      1. If someone falls sick, they will have different dietary treatment including using of medicinal plants for cure.
      2. Most of the TPM Ministers who are slightly old, consume High-value products like Ensure, Milo etc to maintain their health.
      3. There are cases of doctors and surgeons conducting operations within Faith Homes to cure different ailments.
      4. There are TPM ministers who regularly inject insulin to control their blood sugar level.

So, in reality, they do take medicines but externally show that medicines are their enemy. I request you to go through this article and watch the video. https://www.fromtpm.com/blog/2016/11/16/misinterpretation-scripture-concerning-divine-healing/

As far as the second paragraph of your comment is concerned, I have got nothing to say other than Galatians 1:7-9 quoted below.

Evidently, some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

    • Johnson, scripture is perfectly clear that the Holy Spirit would lead the disciples to ALL TRUTH. Jesus said so himself in John 16:13. There is no other doctrine or truth other than the ones revealed to the early apostles. Jude confirms in his epistle that we are to contend for the faith ONCE FOR ALL delivered to the saints.

  4. I don’t like to blame these people…. and I don’t want to mention their names,… even some pastors(including.centre pastors
    ) Taking medicine…..☹️☹️☹️☹️

  5. Bro’s. Well of course I agree. We hear two type of gospels in the modern days 1. Gospel of salvation 2. Full Gospel
Is there been any difference between these two. TPM comes under the second type insisting full Gospel is required to prepare the church for Jesus return. Why do our forefathers seek the full Gospel? Can anyone please clarify. I think this has led to the TPM most holiness teachings.

    • Brother,
There is only one Gospel irrespective of what name you give it. I call that the Gospel of Jesus Christ. All that we have to check out if these are the Gospel that was taught by the apostles and the Early Church.
We are expected to be good Bereans to check the scripture for all things that come to us. There is no excuse for that and complacency can cost you your life. We have been analyzing each of such doctrines originating out of TPM and all such doctrines have been found out as Extra-Biblical ones with malafide intent.

18I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book Rev 22:18-19

  6. healing is a biproduct only and not a prerequisite for salvation as tpms 7 steps of salvation which is erroneous. It is not a great faith , that some one don’t take medicine and get healed naturally. saniaysys or Yogis also do stand for natural or meditational healing. If u have mental training or any Yogi can do this. What most matters is can u overcome sin, world and flesh by counting yourself dead to sin, crucified with Christ, old man is died and transformed into new nature of Christ. Healing, gifts of spirit, supernatural experience is just secondary. Doesn’t matter if you don’t experience it. But fruits of spirit is a must not gifts.
