Mocking the Holy Spirit, the TPM Way

I would often hear TPM ministers speak, “നിങ്ങളുടെ അഭിഷേകം പുതുക്കുക” [अपने अभीशेक को नया करो] [renew your anointing].” Believers would then start speaking in unintelligible repeating words, [everyone together] so that none understood what the other is saying!

When at last, the time to wind up tarrying meeting would come, then somebody would stand up and say “I thank God for giving me the opportunity to renew my anointing.”.  We have been bombarded with this “renew your anointing” jingo so frequently through their songs, preaching and testimonies that we find nothing strange in it!  Naïve TPM believers swallow everything that their demigods utter.  The idea of “renewal of anointing” is nowhere found in New Testament. It is a twisted interpretation of TPM. Fundamentally speaking, to renew something is to make that thing new. Something must be expired to get it renewed. Indwelling Holy Spirit does not get expired or corrupt or weakened. It is same forever. His power does not diminish. Holy Spirit dwelling in us, therefore, does not need renewal. Bible tells us that we need daily renewal (II Corinthians 4:16) and this renewal happens in the MIND

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.   Romans 12:12

To speak of renewing anointing or renewing Holy Spirit is like mocking God. God wants you and me to be constantly renewed in the mind. But the little horn of TPM with loud mouth says “renew the God(Holy Spirit) in you” or “renew the anointing that abides in you!!” Nonsense!!

The Syntactical Twist and the immaturity of Gift display

I am sure some of you may say that what the TPM Ministers mean by renewing is to renew the Gift of the Holy Spirit and not Holy Spirit himself. TPM Ministers somehow thinks that God’s Gifts needs to be maintained by the Saturday shouting. They think that God is also finicky like them that if we do not keep flattering him with the Saturday shouting, he will be upset. Let me open your eyes in one verse.

for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. Romans 11:29

Which Part of IRREVOCABLE do you not understand?

I maintain that most of the Unknown tongues you hear in TPM are artificial Emotional Whip ups. But for an argument, I will take it and let us analyse the results as below.

Only an immature person will display a gift without using it. 99% of TPM Ministers and Believers are interested in Displaying the Gift and not using it. How do you know they are interested in DISPLAYING and not USING? I can give you a simple formula. In most of the Tarrying meetings, the conducting brother would say that “This Anointing is Not Enough“. He says such an anointing will not enable you to fly when the Lord Comes again.  Do you know what makes him say that? It is because of the shouting, Jumping, kicking was not spectacular enough for him to appreciate. How come if he cannot appreciate it, that the Holy Spirit will appreciate it? Did you get my Point?

Mocking the Holy Spirit, the TPM Way

The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to convict the world of Sin, Righteousness and Judgement. I  am yet to understand how would TPM Saturday shouting do any of that. Sometimes the Saturday shouting becomes so unbearable that the neighbours complain to the police about this disturbance.  The Spirit that operates in TPM is a spirit of anarchy and loud noise without any purposeful outcome. Moreover, the lives of these shouters are never changed in a positive way.  They continue in their own deception and carnal ways irrespective of attending and shouting in so many tarrying meetings.

The Scriptural Twist from Isaiah’s text

TPM uses Isaiah 40:31 to support their nonsense dogma.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isa 40:31)

If you isolate this verse from rest of the chapter then you will fall for TPM’s false teachings. But if you read the entire chapter then it is easy to understand that this chapter is foretelling of coming of Messiah. Note the implication in bold. Isaiah 40 starts by saying “Speak words of comfort to Jerusalem that her warfare is accomplished and her iniquity is pardoned [(verse 2)]. The voice of him that crieth in wilderness…[John the Baptist (verse 3)]……  He shall feed his flock like a shepherd [(Shepherd Jesus Christ – verse 10-11)].” As you can observe the context of Isaiah 40 is the salvation of people of Israel through Messiah. In the last few verses of prophecy, prophet comforts Israel from its hopeless state. He asks “Why does Jacob think that God will not judge enemies of Israel who have enslaved Israelites (Isaiah 40:27)” The idea is to reconfirm the promise of restoration to the nation in despair, because of slavery and bondage (It signifies mankind in the bondage of sin will be renewed).

In other words, the Isaiah 40 can be paraphrased as “appointed time of pardoning of the iniquity of Israel has come .. the voice of John the Baptist can be heard … salvation and redemption of Israel are for surety and therefore Israel must wait on the Lord and must not lose hope. The phrase “…they that wait upon the Lord” therefore means that all those who trust in God. Wait upon the Lord== Trust in God. Such people who look for the Messiah (keep trust in God) will be renewed and given new life. “They that wait on the Lord” does not mean that we must tarry for anointing every Saturday meeting. Just like the wings of eagle gets shed off and eagle receives new wings, (which is like a new life for eagle), so likewise people who trust in God will be given a new life. They will be renewed who wait on the Lord (trust in Lord). This is the idea of Isaiah 40:31 in nutshell. The context is salvation through Jesus. It is about new life free from the slavery of sin and bondage. It is not about attending TPM’s tarrying meeting or renewal of anointing.

Examining Psalm 103 Twist

This same idea of redemption from slavery/destruction, by receiving forgiveness of sins is expressed in Psalm 103:1-5 (which again is misinterpreted by TPM workers).

Psalm 103:5 says “……so that thy youth is renewed like eagles

Often TPM workers reiterate this verse to enforce their profane dogma of renewing anointing. If you read verses above this verse, i.e. Psalm 103: 1-4, then you can clearly note the phrases which are soteriological in nature. Observe bold text in Psalms 103:1-5 below. In verse 3 it says “Who forgiveth thine iniquities and then it says in verse 4 “who redeemeth thy life from destruction” and then finally it says “so that thy youth is renewed like eagle’s,” in verse 5. Therefore all these words viz. forgiveness, iniquity, redemption and renewal (new birth) are clear gospel-centric. How blind it ought for us to be to miss them! Yet TPM twists it and enforces their perverted teachings on gullible souls.

A meditation on TPM’s anointing of Zion

Before concluding this article, I would attempt to expose yet one more blasphemous act of TPM. Have you ever heard of Anointing of Zion? I assume you have seen a glimpse of it in the Chennai convention. New ministers start jumping and shouting crazily, as soon as the powerful hand of chief pastor falls on their head! They say when chief pastor lays his hand on heads of new minister then anointing of Zion comes upon them. It is mandatory that TPM chief pastors must put his hand on their head otherwise they are not taken into ministry. Without the chief pastor, there is no anointing of Zion. Chief Pastor is the gate and door to Zion. You cannot be born in Zion bypassing the chief clergy. This is an insult to God. Where Jesus Christ is the gate to Normal heaven for normal independent church believer (John 10:7, 14:6), there TPM chief shepherd is the way and door to the more glorious place, into which Christ the door cannot lead you! This anointing concept of Zion is derogatory of Christ THE ONLY WAY and THE DOOR to heaven.

Conclusion

TPM calls itself as “The Pentecostal mission.” However, they are the ones who lead the groups that dishonour the Holy Spirit. Let me ask you “Is not it open rebellion to transgress what Spirit commands through Apostle Paul, to instruct the church to not to conduct tarrying meeting (check here)? They have also dared to put the Holy Spirit out of eternity, who was sent on earth to make people ready for eternity (check here). They also try to replace the Holy Spirit by manipulating people and controlling them with their own rules, when the truth is that the Holy Spirit must lead people and not human beings ( check here). It is the Holy Spirit who is sent to earth to prepare the bride of Christ but these fake eunuchs say that they are preparing the bride of Christ. Their ordination of ministers is also a mockery of the Holy Ghost (check this). And finally, as this article reveals, TPM reviles Holy Spirit by saying “Anointing in believer needs renewal every Saturday.” Considering all that, the blasphemies of TPM with respect to anointing, it is indeed the hour to stop calling TPM a Pentecostal church.

  1. Much needed article. So much of our vocabulary in TPM isn’t biblical. It’s man made tradition. Just like when TPMites read “praise” in the psalms, they automatically assume it is chanting “praise the Lord” hundreds of times, it is conditioned in their mind that anointing is jumping uncontrollably. That’s what you get when men assume authority over God breathed scripture.

  2. March 24th, 2012.

A call came to my mother. It was a tpm sister who said my mother, “Your daughter has not yet received Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in unknown tongues. Pastor wants her to stay at night after the tarrying meeting and we will pray for her”.
When Tpm orders something means it has to be obeyed.
I attended the tarrying meeting..It was a long one..After that food was served to me but each sister one after the other kept asking me,”Y r u nt receiving Holy Spirit, u do this, do that then God will give u”..And i kept crying bcz i was feeling bad. Then a sister came and said ,”Stop eating, pastor is calling u, go down stairs ..He wants to talk to u abt Holy Spirit”… I had not eaten anything…My head was paining…
I went downstairs… There were three other girls those who speak in tongues…I said Pastor,”Fruit of the Spirit is important…He said, first signs, then fruits… U have to speak in tongues. Pastor asked them to tell me how to speak in tongues… They three said,”Just say Praise the Lord loudly, continuously, n u will receive Holy Spirit”..
It was a joke i know but I felt like crying…
Then in the night prayer, nothing happened…They all blamed me for crying unnecessarily n not saying praise the Lord loudly.. Some looked at me as if I did some crime.. and I wanted to flee from that place.
Pastor said everyone to take me to a hall upstairs and sit around me and pray….For two hrs..Means 12 to 2am..
    Then all the 23 sisters
And those three girls, they all sat around me..Then they started to pray in tongues, so loudly, so loudly…And after every five minutes they stopped to see whether I received or not… Then they blamed me… Asst. Centre mother at that tym, said me,”We will sleep, common receive fast, don’t waste our time”..
Then when others were getting tired they said, “This girl will never get yaar”
And those three girls were laughing. They were telling,”Say loudly”
I was only crying… I thought for a while,”I should leave Christianity, I m not fit for this”.. I was feeling scared of God…
Nothing happened… My head was paining…Sunday service…pastor got disappointed..Home.. I had no strength to lift up my head. One of the three girls said, “You will never get anointing”
    It was just the beginning…
There were lots and lots of meetings held like that.. one sister said that she could see holy Spirit descending upon me but I m not allowing…Everyone got angry on me, I thought God and His angels r also angry so I ran and left that place..They tried to stop me but I left that place.. i didn’t dare to read bible or pray…once one sister said,”You tell i love u Jesus for 2000 times then u will receive Holy Spirit”,… But I never said like that for the purpose of getting tongues.
After every meeting, believers asked me the same question again n again. They used to tell me,”See how nonchristians r coming n receiving, see how small girls r jumping but u r of no use”.. I was fed up. Not only tpm, but other Pentecostal churches r also like that.. only speaking loudly in tongues, but no love for anyone. In Chennai youth meeting pastor was searching for me.. he also said this..”I was searching whether u r filling in the Spirit or not”.. while returning to my place, brothers n sisters were very upset and said many things.
I thought church will be a place where I can hide from worldly wicked ppl, but here r more wicked ppl.

It was just a WASTE OF TIME AND ENERGY.

    1. O my God!!! Feel so sad that this has happened to you. It must have happened to many more of them. I was a child with very low self-esteem because of this church. And I can imagine how it must have been for you

    2. Even this happened to me . I was appointed as new sunday school teacher .Me and another guy were the two persons without anointing and we were given sunday school ministry since there was a shortage of teachers. In TPM there are rules that sunday school ministry will be given to those who are anointed along with signs of speaking in tongues which is mandatory. The brother who lead our fake home told me and another brother that within one year you both must receive anointing with tongues else you will be thrown out of ministry. There was tremendous pressure on both of them. Then he received anointing one day . The pressure was severe on me that I was the only person without anointing. I was feeling humiliated in fake home. And everybody gave the same tip ” say Praise the Lord loudly” then you will speak in tongues. I tried so much all were in vain. Many pastors laid hands on my hands are were pressing my head so hard. Yet there was no result. They do not understand Jesus at all. Even this led to a big misunderstanding between me and my husband because I am not getting anointed. These SOG always complain me to my husband asking me to wear white dress and remove my jewels and they would quote that as a reason for not receiving anointing. Due to much pressure i removed my jewels and did what they told. I received a false vision also regarding anointing and second coming. Also i took these jewels due to false vision. ( Later with scriptural base I was able to find out that the vision was false about second coming and removal of jewels) .Even pas Manasseh laid hands and told fire but nothing happened .

Finally I was praying at my home where Jesus anointed me and also gave gift of speaking in tongues. Thank you Jesus for saving me from this cult.

  3. In TPM the anointing starts and ends with the beat of drums. If there were no drums or music I doubt how they would have managed to whip up emotions and frenzy. If you have noticed the entire shouting and jumping of the entire church can come to a sudden stop at the tap of the drum when so desired by minister.
They are still in old testament where there would be constant anointing going on with oil.
As rightly pointed out, now a days there seem to be special anointing for healing, strength, blessing etc ….being promoted by centre clergy and his ministers who will also shout that “the anointing is moving (hovering) in our midst as will be claimed by ministers”.
Such very spiritual sounding non-scriptural exhortations of renew holy spirit, special holy spirit, moving holy spirit are all the devices of the prince of this world.
1st John 3:27 – But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you.. is the only anointing we see in the new testament. This clearly shows that it (Holy Spirit) abideth in us unless we defile our temple and grieve the Holy Spirit.

  4. Here are some of more unscriptural ideas concerning anointing propagated in tpm ..

    1) fire fire fire…. (Manasseh was expert in saying this in rhythmic style..)
They play with emotions……Why don’t they say …. oil oil oil OR water water water … OR river river river… OR dove dove dove….?? TPM’s symbol is dove. You can find a dove on tpm magzine books or hymn cds….

    2) As LD pointed, they say if fire is burning and wood is kept beside it then wood will automatically start burning.. Likewise they say if you surround a person who does not speak in tongues then he will also start filling in unknown tongues .. They are expert in making irrelevant analogies but they have scriptures to support their unbiblical traditions…

  5. Thanks once again for another enlightening piece of writing, much appreciated. The way it has been explained is simple and anyone should be able to understand the foolishness of this exclusive TPM tradition.

It is unfortunate that TPM continues to practice this mockery despite knowing that it is not Biblical.

If God were to answer the TPM DJ’s call for the fire to fall down, TPM and his followers would have been history by now. Just shows how merciful and long suffering our God is and demonstrates how silly TPM’s leaders are, to think that God is waiting for their command to send fire down.

If only they would repent and seek the God of the Bible, not only would they be saved but also stop being a social nuisance.

  6. Even the application form for taking ministry they are SOG fills it not by the whole mind of the applicant. But for joining one person in the ministry for their name, terrifying the people by curses, blasphemous words,..I know in a certain local the poor youth girls sent to tpm ministry by told that “only you go to ministry your sisters marriage will take place..
SOG dropped that girls studies and sent them to the ministry at the last year…
This what happened to many youngsters…

    1. I know of a family. They were very poor. The family comprised of father, mother, three daughters and one son.
      Parents came to tpm..
Two of their daughters joined tpm ministry.
I used to visit their house bcz their youngest daughter had become my friend. I alwz asked her, “Didi, u will also join tpm ministry?”
She said,”No, never, whenever my elder sister calls us, she alwz warns me not to join tpm ministry. She even says that she has done a mistake by joining tpm ministry”
I asked, “Then why she is not leaving tpm and coming back?”
Then the mother of the House told me,”No, she will stay there.. We were telling her not to go, but she didn’t listen, now she has to suffer n stay there till her death”
I asked their mother,”Tell me how she went there?”
She said,”When R*** was studying in college, she alwz used to see Jesus…Coming and talking with her, sitting beside her and telling her to join tpm ministry. R*** alwz said that Jesus is telling her not to study. During her U G exam, she knew all answers, some students copied her answers and got pass marks but she failed. Then Jesus(her jesus) told her,”I was telling you not to study but you did not listen to me, see…Now u failed..”
Then she was bound to join tpm ministry…

Now where is R***’s jesus? Now why she wants to come back?
Tpm’s jesus gives sorrow upon sorrow…Only worldly sorrow. I was having lots of doubts and confusions…About Jesus coming and talking and asking her to join ministry…
But my doubts disappeared after reading the articles of this site.
Tpm serves a different jesus… Not the Jesus of the Bible.
I have seen that family in their miserable conditions.. father even died sorrowfully..

When i used to go to tpm, their mother would take me to a corner, and would say what’s happening in their house and would ask me to pray. When I would tell her to share all these with tpm workers so that they can pray… she says,” No.. they will not understand”..
In her testimonies she says, “God is only giving sorrows…Plz pray so that I can get victory over these sorrows”..
Yet they don’t want to leave tpm…bcz they want to go to TPM’s New Jerusalem.

      1. True.Typical testimonies of tpm.One good genuine testimony is extremely rare. All of them giving testimonies about sorrows and pain and trials blah blah blah,boring/entertaining other believers. The other testimony is asking for worldly blessings like passing in exam, better job, going abroad blah blah blah. They try to compare themselves with Jesus. The biggest joke is they dont realize that Jesus was crucified once and for all for our deliverance.Tpm believers want to show that their petty personal problems is because they are living a life of perfection and seperation.Sad part is they dont realize that they dont understand these terms actual meanings which are pretty straightforward. But do understand only the twisted meaning that their clergy have taught them.Their personal problems are similar to problems every human beings normally face in this world. The believers wear all sorts of fashionable white clothes, all sorts of high end cars, posh houses(the rich influential ones who are pastors favourites),heads with fashionable slides etc, make their kids wear all kinds of clothes outside the church and themselves wear it.Their kids do drugs etc.And then they call themselves holy and special. You can see their believers open eyes playing with children bored of the sermon. With the beating drum they jump and after that ridicule each other during meetings. The poor people have their small corner and the rich and old believers have their space ignoring the poor. This is their real seperation. They seperate people on the basis of class in their own church.Ive seen this since my childhood. They seperate one christian from another.Their doctrine is directly against Jesus’ in Mark9:38-41.

  7. Dear Admin,

I am contradicting with this post. Verses about new anointing may not be found in New testament but we do see the verses about new wine, new oil in the Old testament. Please see below some scripture references.

    Joel 2:19
“Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil,
And you will be satisfied by them;”

    Jeremiah 31:12
Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion,
Streaming to the goodness of the Lord—
For wheat and new wine and oil,
    For the young of the flock and the herd;
Their souls shall be like a well-watered garden,
And they shall sorrow no more at all.

    Ezekiel 47
3 And when the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles. 4 Again he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to my knees. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came up to my waist. 5 Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed.

We all know about four experiences of filling in the spirit from Ezekiel 47. (akin to difference in anointing). One may have an anointing experience with ankles and another may be having waist. Does this mean that we need a fresh or new anointing experience to grow in the fullness of the spirit?

    1. Brother where exactly is the Renewing of the Anointing spoken of in the mentioned verses?
All these speaks of the New Covenant by the blood of Christ (Matthew 26:28). At no point, we can see it as a RENEWING of one’s anointing. The New Covenant is the Final Covenant and there are no new covenants coming. The Old Covenant was a covenant of Letters but the new one is that of the Spirit.
“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Jer 31:33

That is the same reason Jesus said that we cannot pour the new wine into the old bottles. Because the Old bottles will be burst.
17 Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins [a]break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” Matt 9:17

Ezekiel 47 is also not about any renewing of the Anointing. Just check the verses as shown below.
6 He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen this?” Then he brought me and returned me to the bank of the river. Ezek 47:3-6

The above metaphor is also about walking deeper into the SAME WATER. Let me ask you one thing. Do you have the same revelation as you had when you were born again or do you have any growth? As far as I know, I have come far ahead from the state as I was when I was born again. Earlier I used to consume milk fed by seniors (1 Corinthians 3:2). But now I eat meat and can digest it. Similar is any experience with the work of the Spirit, it starts at a lower measure but as you keep moving forward, you will experience it more. It is not a NEW ANOINTING. A greater measure of the spirit is based on the level of yeilding you are given to. Note Verse 6 in which he comes back to the Bank of the same river and is probably dry. Does that ever mean that He lost the anointing? This metaphor is wrongly applied by TPM to equate with their Jumping and Shouting. They say that the more jumping, the more that person is in water. But that is a wrong analogy by TPM. This analogy is about YEILDING to God’s work and not Yeilding to Emotional Whip ups.

If there was something called a renewal of anointing, we would have certainly been able to locate it in the early church.

  8. Dear Admin,

You might be correct in interpreting the verses mentioned by me in the above comments. What you had said could be true. I have little biblical knowledge and quoting verses from the bible based on my little knowledge.

Again, Please see the below verse from Psalm 92:10,
“But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.”

Above verse speaks about fresh oil representing fresh anointing. Bible says David itself was anointed three times in various occasions . Can’t we take these scriptures spiritually and assume that there is a fresh anointing ?

Regarding jumping and rolling while filling in holy spirit, we call it as a physical manifestation of the spirit. Not only TPM, most other Pentecostal churches have the same understanding on this part and they agree there will be a chances of physical manifestation while filling in the holy spirit. Please read the below article.

    http://www.colindye.com/2014/01/29/shake-rattle-roll-understanding-the-physical-effects-of-the-holy-spirit/
Below verses from Revelation Chapter 1 confirms that there will a physical manifestation while filling in the spirit. Apostle John was in the Spirit and fell at the Lord’s Feet. He fell down while in the spirit without his control.

10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet,
11 saying, [g]“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches [h]which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”
12 Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands,
13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.
    14 His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire;
15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; 16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.
17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead.

    1. Brother,
Now concerning David’s anointing..Let us see the below references of the Three that you mentioned.
“Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers. And the Spirit of the Lord rushed upon David from that day forward.” – 1 Samuel 16:13

“And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah.” – 2 Samuel 2:4

“So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the Lord, and they anointed David king over Israel.” – 2 Samuel 5:3

As you see, In reality, David was anointed by God only once and that happened when Samuel the Prophet did it. We can see the Spirit of the Lord landing on him. The rest of the two occasions is basically a kind of appointment done by the leaders. Its akin to an ordination by some people. It cannot be equated with the Samuel Anointing with Oil over David as King. ANd also let it be known that the oil for such an anointing is freshly ground substances. One such formula can be seen in Exodus 30:22-33. The Fresh oil anointing spoken by David is not to be seen as a recent new oil anointing overriding an old oil anointing sometime earlier. Its the kind of Feeling David had that he expressed in the psalm. As you know its poetic to use such words to explain the joy. It could also be prophetic about Jesus the son of David who is King of Kings for ever.

Now coming to the other section you referred to as Jumping being involuntary and out of the control of the person. Please refer to all the instances of the Holy Spirit falling on people in the book of Acts. Do you even see one instance of Jumping? In all instances, it says “They spoke in Tongues” as the only manifestable and recognizable change( Acts 2:4, Acts 10:46 and probably acts 19 as well). You will never see jumping, pushing, etc. I will read the article you cited and will comment again…But for all practical purposes, we should look at scriptures and not somebody’s feelings.

Now coming to the next point of John falling down. I hope you understand that Falling down is a primary act of Worshipping and it requires active participation by the worshipper and this implies also to people who worship false gods even as God Jehovah(Job 1:20, Gen 17:3, Gen 18:2, Matt2:11,Matt 4:9,Luke 8:28, Daniel 3:10). Unlike TPM, where they say speaking in tongues and Jumping in worship, actually Falling down and prostrating is worshipping supported by scriptures even in New Testament for eg Mark 5:6, Matt 14:33(WNT),Matt 28:8-9
In this case, you referred, John was overwhelmed by the glory and majesty that he saw that he fell down. It was NOT involuntary as you think(1 Corinthians 14:32). We can see another instance where John did the same thing of falling and worshipping an angel after seeing the glory and Majesty of the Angel(Rev 19:10, Rev 22:8-9). I believe it was God’s way of showing us that Whatever be the Majesty or Glory, we are NEVER to worship a creature, but only the Creator.

      Hope you understood my point.

      13
  9. Dear Admin,
I read Psalm 92 multiple times and verse 10 speaks of anointing with fresh oil. The author of this Psalm 92 is not known but why the author specifically says he needs anointing with the fresh oil. Hebrew word for the fresh is “raanan” and there are various meanings given for this Hebrew word : luxuriant, fresh, green and flourishing. Why can’t we interpret the meaning for this word “raanan” as luxuriant or flourishing. i.e. we can say it as a luxuriant & Flourishing anointing. This anointing is growing and growing.

Also in Psalms 51:10, we do see a renew in spirit.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me”

Again the Hebrew word in this verse for renew is “chadash” and actual meaning for this Hebrew word is renew or repair. You can say this spirit is not holy spirit but human spirit. I am unsure about this but wanted to highlight it.

Suppose I am praying in tongues for1 hour at my home daily for a duration of 6 months. Do you mean to say that the spiritual experience will be the same after 6 months also? But what I understand is we will grow in the spirit if we do like this daily and my spiritual experience will not be the same after 6 months. It would have grown if we wait in the presence of God filling in the spirit daily. We can call it has a fresh or renew in anointing.

    1. Brother,
You read Psalm 92 few times and how did you miss out that it is a prophetic utterance? Don’t you see it as a future event?
But my HORN shalt thou exalt like the HORN of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
      Psalms 92:10 KJV
This is prophetic in its tone and is reflecting about Jesus who was anointed as Christ. Please correlate with Luke 1:69 . Quoting it below.
He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David. Here Horn refers to a strong reigning progeny.

Now coming to Psalm 51:10, we all know this is a psalm which was sung when he repented of his sin with the Uriah family. He effectually backslid and went away from the Lord. So this a prayer of a restoration of a repentant heart. And the spirit we see here is not about Holy Spirit but about the attitude.
Just like we say “take it in A RIGHT SPIRIT”.
      Note the verse once more
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew “a” right spirit within me. Psalms 51:10 KJV
Note it that it is A RIGHT SPIRIT and not THE RIGHT SPIRIT.

David clearly knew that he had slipped and was justifying to himself his deeds. But then the prophet Nathan confronted him, he knew his mistake. He knew that he was not in his earlier self of humble and contrite spirit. He knew he was now haughty and arrogant. That is the reason why he prays, acknowledging his wrong spirit, and requests God to bring him back to the earlier state. I am not aware of any reference where the Holy Spirit departed from David although he lost the Joy because his actions grieved the Holy Spirit. Once anointed, the Holy Spirit never departs unless there is a grave sin and an unrepentant heart of apostasy within that person.

As far as praying in tongues is concerned, I would request you to pray in tongues as much as you would like. It will help your spirit to interact with the Holy Spirit constantly. But please do it in private and never do it to display it to someone. Remember everytime you speak in tongues, it’s never a New Anointing. It is the same anointing and you are dealing with the Same Holy Spirit. Only the first time is classified as “Anointing”. You do not lose anything if you stop talking in tongue and then, later on, talk in tongues again. Holy Spirit never departs from within you.

21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. 1 Cor 1:21-22

Do you think God is supposed to KEEP SEALING/ANOINTING YOU NEWLY, every time you speak in tongues ?
If that was so, it would also mean that the moment you stop speaking in tongues, the seal of God is Broken and it needs to be re-established by a new speaking in tongues exercise and that would enter into an indefinite loop wherein you will have to keep speaking in tongues 24/7. Just think how illogical it would be.

Relax Friend. The Validity of your anointing does not come with an expiry date for a renewal to be done before that due date. You do not have to keep speaking in tongues to renew and maintain your anointing. This is not an insurance policy with a renewal due date/clause.

    2. Brother Johnson
How many times Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus ? How many times it descended upon Disciples? Is Holy Spirit given to stay with us for half an hour, and then it depart ? And should we wait for it to come down on us again in next tarrying meeting? ERASE all the TPM induced imagery from your mind. Holy Spirit is sent by God, to stay with us forever. It dwells in us. It imparts various gifts to Church for each others edification. Unknown tongues is gift of Holy Spirit. Don’t get confused. Once a gift is given, God doesn’t revoke it (Romans 11:29), i.e. God doesn’t call it up again?

Coming to your multiple anointing of David, (as admin pointed), his first anointing was from God and it was actual Holy Spirit descending upon him. Next two anointing are symbolic of installing David as king. It signifies expansion of David’s kingdom from Judah to Israel as whole. At first people anoint him for Judah only. Next after some years he is made king over Israel as whole. As we have told you earlier, try to see David as symbolic shadow pointing to Jesus. David was man and sinner like us. But he as king of Israel who defeated Goliath and destroyed all enemies of Israel is foreshadow of Jesus who has defeated devil (Goliath) and by his defeating our enemies he will give us victory. In short, David points to Jesus and his two anointing are foreshadow of spread of kingdom of Jesus. Therefore Kingdom of Christ spread from Jerusalem to Samaria to Gentiles gradually as disciples spread gospel. That is why Jesus said ye shall be witness for me in Jerusalem then Samaria and then all world. So Davidic anointing are links pointing to Spread of Kingdom of Jesus. They are not meant to read them as pointer to you and me to sit in tarrying meeting to keep renew anointing.

Ezekiel’s analogy of river coming from temple also speaks of Holy spirit mighty work in expansion of God’s kingdom. River of eternal life flowed from Jesus to his 12 disciples (John 20:22), and latter to Christians (120), in whom God’s spirit started dwelling. This river as it grew deeper in Ezekiel speaks of flow of Holy Spirit enlarging from one man to 12 and to 3000 and then to millions. The book of Ezekiel in chapter 27 says, “Where ever the river flowed it made dead animals and fishes live.” It brought life. It was symbol of making dead people live. So don’t make wrong mental picture from TPM induced doctrines. Ezekiel 27 is not picture of TPM believers getting filled in spirit unto ankel and then unto knee and so on.. It is picture of spread of eternal life giving Holy spirit flowing form one man to another, to make us all spring of living water, giving life to dead around us, as we proclaim gospel inspired by holy spirit. Check this

this is best animated explanation of Holy spirit. Observe in video above, how all things turn green as God’s ruhah (breath/Holy Spirit ) flows over. Hense river becoming deeper in Ezekiel is picturization of life giving work of Holy Spirit spreading to wider and river becomes mightier (wider-deeper) as it flows..

Coming to your Psalms 92. You are again getting confused by getting focused on particular word “renew”. The word renew means make new. It is metaphor of new birth and new life. You cannot be born again and again and again and again. We were all born in carnal human nature in Adams fallen nature. Jesus said we must be born again. This is new birth is something spiritual. This takes place only once. And it takes place by working of Holy spirit within us, such that it imparts life to us, who were dead. It makes everything green and flourishing with life and vibrant as sign of living organism. It makes us give fruits. This experience of new birth or renewal of ours, form our old nature cannot take place again and again. Writer of Hebrews says “it is impossible to RENEW AGAIN” if you have fallen after having been renewed once, because it is impossible to crucify Jesus again and again (Heb 6:4-6; Rom 6:4-7)

  10. Excellent Q&A going on here.

Hope MT the heretic and his fans will read this and learn a thing or two about proper interpretation of the scriptures instead of trying to use every verse in the Bible to support TPM’s deep true lies.
