I was not surprised to hear when one senior minister of TPM (M.T. Thomas) was proudly introducing the audience to the “47 doctrinal books” and also asking them to take up the task of reading and meditating these indoctrination works of literature as the main task of their life. Turning back to some Historical Lessons
During the time of Jesus, the Pharisees valued the writings in Talmud and Mishnah more than the writings of the Torah (The Law and the Prophets – Matt 22:40). The entire conflict between Jesus and the Pharisees should be summed up as the conflict between Torah and Talmud. This Talmud is extra-biblical writings by Jewish Rabbis supposedly expounding the Torah. Sadly in the process of expounding the Torah, they created an entire set of new rules which went diametrically opposite the Spirit of the Torah.
As a result of this Talmudic influence, lots of unbiblical traditions crept into the system. This includes the likes of Washing the Outside of the Cup, the Corban, Leniency in judgment when it comes to themselves and severe to others etc.
This is where Jesus rebukes the Pharisees for Teaching their own interpreted twisted teachings as God’s commandments.
Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’ Matthew 15:9
Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. Matthew 15:6b
Jesus qualified these Pharisees as blind guides.
The Present day TPM Pharisee Talmuds
Now we are 2000 years after the time of Jesus. But rest assured the Pharisees are just like the curled tail of the dog. They are the same even in these modern times. We have our very own TPM Pharisees amongst us who carry themselves with an air of self-importance (Matthew 23).
So we have our TPM’s very own Talmud and Mishnah which M.T Thomas is marketing. These are called the 47 Doctrinal Books. So let us sample one of those doctrinal books and see how they have succeeded in twisting the scriptures and forced it down the throat of unsuspecting believers. This is an article in which we are exposing the erroneous teaching of one that is titled “EXPOSITION ON THE BOOK OF REVELATION” written by a former TPM chief pastor (A. C Thomas).
Shifting of the Goal
The Purpose of every Christian’s life should be OBTAIN CHRIST. There is NO OTHER ADDITIONAL GOAL.
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, Philippians 3:8
But as we all know that TPM has shifted their Goal. They are using Jesus as a marketing tool for their own Goal. Do you know what is that Goal? You guessed it right..ZION.
Let us see how they are twisting it using the scriptures. Apostle Paul said in Hebrews 11:40, “since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.” In that TPM Doctrinal book, it is written on the cover page that ‘something better’ mentioned in this verse is New Jerusalem and Zion. Before the 40th verse we can see a long list of faithful warriors. It is written there these were all commended for their faith, yet they did not yet receive what was promised. Then it is written they will become perfect along with New Testament believers like us. When the context is absolutely silent on Zion and New Jerusalem, why do these Zionists use every opportunity to exalt themselves and their holiness when it is not needed?
According to Galatians 3:16, “The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ.” We see the same in 1 Cor 2:7 and 1 Peter 1:11-12, where it is clearly mentioned that the references are mentioning about Christ our savior.
Can you show anything good except Christ from the scripture? Not elaborating much. In John 15:15, Jesus says everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you and in Acts 20:20-27 Paul says You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you. Does this mean that Jesus and Apostle didn’t preach Zion doctrine because they have forgotten about it? Should we not believe what the Psalmist says in Psalms 84:7, ALL will appear before God in Zion and Paul says in Hebrews 12:21 All of us will reach Mount Zion. What is the basis for anybody to believe these modern fake Apostles?
THE DECISION IS YOURS
Triumphant life is a Proprietary of TPM Saints
The book goes on to say that Old Testament saints could not lead a triumphant life. The reason is that, Jesus Christ didn’t destroy the owner of the sin Satan. (Exposition on the book of Revelation, Page 55-Malayalam).
Seems A.C Thomas was ignorant of certain facts like Enoch walked with God, Abraham was known as the friend of God, Moses was faithful in the house of God, Elijah went to heaven without dying. And still, he has the gall to say that they were unsuccessful. What audacity?
Romans 16:20, “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.”
Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
2 Cor 11:3, “I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray”.
What is the meaning of these above verses? Does it not also mean that Satan is not fully destroyed and his existence will be there till the Gog Magog war mentioned in Revelations 20th Chapter? Should we believe 47 new writings of TPM ‘s Apostles?
THE DECISION IS YOURS
Blindsided by Zion Zeal
A.C Thomas was under a demonic influence of trying to prove himself BETTER. Such a spirit is in violation to the humility we see in Jesus and his apostles.
We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise. 2 Cor 10:12
TPM Assumes that the 4 beasts and the 24 elders mentioned in Revelations Chapter 4 are Saints from the Dispensation of Law and Saints from the Dispensation of Conscience. The book further goes on to say that the reason why the 4 beasts are better than the 24 elders is that the mention of the beasts is before that of the 24 elders (Page 56, 4th paragraph).
Had he written these kinds of literature after reading the rest of the book, he would have had some chance to rethink. Whereas in Revelation 4:4; 7:11; 19:10; Elders are mentioned first and the Beasts second. The author of the book didn’t see it? Or deliberately hiding it from the believers? (What a generation that can simply believe what the clergy says? ). Should we believe 47 doctrinal writings or the scripture?
THE DECISION IS YOURS
The Lottery of Eternal Destination
Hebrews 11:16, “they were longing for a better country–a heavenly one” and verse 11:10, “Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God”. In that book, it is written that the above verses are not like that and the Old Testament saints have some other city and the city mentioned in those verses are only for New Testament believers. (Page 285, 1st paragraph).
Can you show me another ‘city except for New Jerusalem with eternal foundations, designed and built by God’ from the scripture? Should we believe the commandment of Jesus mentioned in Mathew 8:11 and Luke 13:29 that I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven or these 47 new writings?
THE DECISION IS YOURS
Restrictive policy and overriding Christ
As far as we know the names on the gates are an indication of the residency of the individual. About New Jerusalem, it says, It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel Revelation 21:12.
This is a classic example of twisting bible verses. The book says about New Jerusalem. (Page 285, 1st paragraph last portion). It mentions that the Old Testament saints can go only up to the gate of the bride of lamb New Jerusalem. In short, they cannot enter inside. You may decide, should we believe the word of God or should we believe the meaning of these 47 books? Except the ones mentioned above, I am not elaborating many other erroneous teachings written in that book. In a single book when so many indoctrinations are available, then what will be the condition when all the other 46 books studied together? If everyone remembers Romans 12:3, how good it would have been?
THE DECISION IS YOURS
Beware of Men (TPM Clergy) teaching their ideas as commandments of God. Scripture says that those prophets without preaching the truth and prophesizing that ‘I had a dream, I had a vision’ are deceiving prophets (Jeremiah 23:29-32). Their self-invented connotations without any brake, clarity, and correction are called prophesying? I would like to stop for the time being with the request that they should search the veracity of these erroneous teachings based on scriptures. I humbly request all of you to read this book because the said author and his teachings and wrong doctrines (doctrines included in the books) are still in the forefront of The Pentecostal Mission.
