There is this one verse in Jude which TPM twists to uphold their exclusivity among their unlearned folks.
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. Jude 1:3
Please note the underlined part of the verse. TPM Pastors propagate it as the doctrine of ZION which was once delivered to Pastor Paul and Alwyn. Simple souls of TPM do not even need to verify these claims before they wholeheartedly gobble all these stories. Nobody in TPM even questions why this doctrine of ZION was not delivered to the early apostles and why is Jude referring to the Faith which excludes this ZION doctrine, in his statement.
How TPM Propagates the Doctrine of ZION?
A few weeks back, I happened to listen to a message given by M. T. Thomas at Dubai convention. I really for a while wondered whether M. T. Thomas has gone as a Sales Representative to do the marketing of TPM Publications or as a true messenger of God. In the democratic world everyone has the freedom to express the individual view and from my observation, I have come to a conclusion that M. T. Thomas’ message was nothing about Lord Jesus, His love, compassion and his characters but it was just another show of their organization & its publications. Based on my observation, without any reservation, I would call M. T. Thomas a marketing boy who accomplished his task very well for which he was sent.
M. T. Thomas in the sermon was speaking about the earnest desire of TPM’s former chief clergy A. C. Thomas. In the year 1974, two years before his demise he asked, “Whether the coming generation would preach about Zion, our church, and our doctrines?”
From this, it’s very conspicuous that though they call themselves apostles and boast about doing the apostolic ministry yet, in practical terms they are absolutely contrary to the lifestyle and teachings of the early & true apostles. The early apostles including St. Paul who they hold on very high just to defend their celibacy did never preach about Zion. They were not running wild from place to place to establish their own doctrines but to preach what Jesus had commanded them. Now let’s see few verses to understand the desire & preaching of St. Paul.
- I Corinthians 1:23 – But we preach Christ crucified…..
- II Corinthians 2:12 – Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel…
- II Corinthians 4:5 – For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord;….
- Philippians 3:8 – …..that I may win Christ.
You can see that St. Paul, unlike A. C. Thomas and other TPM clergies, preached Christ crucified and His gospels but not Zion & New Jerusalem as his & his followers’ personal properties. His desire was to win Christ at any cost but I feel that TPM clergies would be content if they got Zion and it doesn’t matter even if Jesus is not there.
I recollect a short article read some years ago about a congregation where on one Sunday gathered so many young & old with so much of personal & other problems. The choir melodiously sang a song of Zion and the preacher preached about the foundations of New Jerusalem made with precious stones; but alas! The people eventually went back home disappointed. I think the same thing would have happened to them (especially new souls) who heard M. T. Thomas on that day in Dubai.
In the sermon, M. T. Thomas said that in the year 1976 A. C. Thomas departed from the world. Just before his departure, he told that “behold! Pastor Paul, behold! Pastor Paul, he is calling me, I am going”. If it is true, how sad it is? In the Acts of Apostle chapter 7 we read about a man called Stephen, who was not an apostle nor did he profess himself to be one. In verse 59 it’s written that while people were stoning him he called saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit”. There is a strong reason why Stephen could boldly commend his spirit to Jesus. In verse 56 it’s written, “And said, behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.” Stephen did not see Abraham, Peter or any other apostle died before him but, he saw Jesus the Son of God and therefore he yielded his spirit to him. Now as per what M. T. Thomas said that A. C. Thomas had seen Pastor Paul calling him the question arises, “who he might have yielded his spirit to?”
To speak about the miracles M. T. Thomas quoted the reference from Isaiah 8:18. Then in order to justify or defend their weakness, he diverted the audience attention to the first miracle performed by Jesus at Cana. I don’t disagree with his explanation of water made into wine that is the transformation of our nature. But see how he twisted the incident to defend what they fail to do. He was telling that at Cana, Jesus did not open the eyes of the blind, make the lame walk, make the deaf hear or raise the dead to life but just turned the water into wine. He said all these things just to make his stand strong that all other miracles are not so significant but the transformation of nature. I agree, but he should understand that Jesus did only that, which was needed in all situations. Every miracle is the manifestation of His glory. “The beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory: and his disciples believed on him.” (John 2:11)
TPM hasn’t experienced a spectacular miracle for many decades. It has become like an empty vessel and that’s why it makes a lot of noise.
He mentioned about separation and said very proudly that, “because of this we do not share our stage with any prominent speaker of other denomination.” Any person with some common sense will understand that this is nothing but the pride of being the best among all other denomination. Again they are living contrary to what St. Paul spoke in Philippians 2:3, “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” II Corinthians 6:14-17 give the list of those, one needs to separate from. Bible never permits the blood washed children of God to remain separated from one another. Every blood washed child in God’s sight is a member of the body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:12). Paul in I Corinthians 12:25 says, “That there should be no schism in the body.” It’s truly unfortunate that TPM is dividing the very body of Christ. The recent circular on “Engagement & Marriage” is the proof of that. Jude 1:19 “These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.” So it’s understood without any doubt that TPMites are sensual and have no Spirit because they emphasize the unbiblical separation. God has promised, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them. (Mathew 18:20)” Most Holy God is so humble that he has no problem to give His holy presence to them who gathered in His name. But when TPM teaches & maintains a separation from the blood-bought children of God, what does it mean? Doesn’t that show the height of pride in them? These are the proud followers of humble Jesus.
M. T. Thomas was asking the audience that, why we don’t wear silk sarees and put on ornaments? Then he was telling them to buy a book with the title “WORLDLINESS” to know the answer. Isn’t it the best way to promote their publications? I think M. T. Thomas has been appointed a “Brand Ambassador” of TPM doctrine books by the organization.
These people who teach others not to wear the costly apparels, has anyone ever tried to know the cost of the white costumes they use? Perhaps the cost of cloth is not much but if you count the maintenance cost to keep it clean & crispy it’s costly. Every year they allure the young brothers & sisters in the name of Zion to join the ministry. These fresh junior recruits, especially the less educated & less good looking are used as maids & servants to do such jobs. These people who talk about worldliness & separation have a double standard in life. TPM top clergies were in full suits when they went to Dubai for the convention. But once they reached their residential premises they changed that costume and wore the TPM uniform. They don’t want to appear religious priests to the world, so they use the normal costumes to be one with them. When they go to their fake homes & worship place, in order to be recognized as saints by their followers they put on the white. These people are like a fish called “Eel” which shows it face when encounters a snake and the tail when encounters the fish. Are they not the hypocrites? Muslim Imam, Jain monks, Buddha monks, Jacobites & Marthoma Priest are more upright than these hypocrites who do not hold the dual standard in costumes. I can say that what Jesus had told the hypocrite Pharisees of His days in Mathew 23:5 applies to these present days Pharisees.
Another example of worldliness in TPM is the current renovation work of the chief Pastors block at Irumbiliyur. There was a report that the whole block is lifted 5 feet with jack. What was the urgent need for this renovation? They can justify this act with so many reasons. When many TPM believers are suffering without proper shelter & food, these people have so much money to do this expensive renovation. Isn’t it a part of worldliness? I have been getting reports of the Chief Pastor traveling in Mercedes Benz to his palace. I know, for them all what they do is needful and justifiable; but if others do, it is waste of money and unjustifiable. Stop being deceived and deceiving the people to escape the wrath of God.
Dear Reader, the purpose of writing this lengthy article is to make you understand the true stand of the false teachers of TPM. They don’t practice what they preach. They call their doctrines “Deeper Truth” but some said that “in our desire to go deeper, we have failed to go higher!” How true is it with TPM? The more they are talking about the deeper truth the less high they are able to grow. Wake up! Every doctrine that does not square with the scripture is to be rejected no matter how many miracles it showers every day. God told the Israelites in Deuteronomy 2:3, “Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.” God who loves you is saying the same thing. It’s long enough since you believed the lie of TPM’s false teachers but now turn to the truth given by Jesus & His true apostles.
