Modern Pastors – Are they even Biblical? – 1

In the previous three posts, you have seen how Christians have been duped into a religious world which is quite contrary to what the apostles had made it be. These are the days when unemployed and unskilled folks who have never worked in their whole life, join a religious institution, wear a religious garb and come as rulers among Christians.  Was this how the early church was modeled?

Talk privately to your TPM Ministers( Or even other ministers) and get to know some of their histories. A good number of them would not have even earned their living before they came out for this Ministry.  Contrast that with the Disciples of Jesus. All of them were gainfully employed before they received the direct calling.  Come to think of it. These Ministers who would have never even earned a Bicycle in their lives are boasting of having left their Father, Mother, Wife, Children etc for CHRIST. Till when will we suffer these Lies? These hatchlings who has not even tasted of the hard life which a Christian has to undergo, is trying to boss over people who have no clue of what Christianity is.

Before the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, Jesus’ Disciples had this carnal thinking and wanted to be bossing over people. They wanted to know who is going to be the Greatest. Who would be sitting on his Right and Left? and many more such questions. All these things changed when the received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Now consider these unbiblical bosses in the Institutional churches/TPM who have that same spirit. What does that tell you? Is not it simply telling us that they are not Baptized by the Holy Spirit? Anybody can claim anything. But the fruits are very evident.

Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, Matt 20:26

Before I proceed to the subject let me tell one thing. Check out with your own Bibles if I am saying is True or False. If it is true, then Who I am, is irrelevant. You can hate me. You can say I am a Scumbag, Degenerate, Heretic or whatever. But if you have to resort to Ad Hominem attack, its because you cannot handle the issue at hand and you cannot resist what I am saying. These are easy positions for me to defend. The position of truth is easily defensible.  So let us expose another made-up-concept in today’s churches, including TPM.

The Ruling Class

The Foolish Assumption: It is generally accepted that there is these class of Professional Christians called the Clergy(TPM Saints etc)  and these lay Christians generally referred as Laity (Believers).  THIS IS NOT HOW JESUS SEES. ALL Christians are equal and part of the Body of Christ.   You may consider them as PASTORS, But Jesus Considers them as Pharisees and Nicolaitans. There is another huge assumption that the Clergy is Ministering. And the Main part of the MINISTERING is PREACHING. God knows where did people come up with all these assumptions.

Modern Pastors – Are they even Biblical
New Testament Ministering

When Jesus walked among men, He taught His disciples to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, whom He denounced as hypocrites. With them, He classed the chief priests and the temple officials, together with teachers in the synagogues. He declared that they had so corrupted the truth of God with the doctrines of men (the same sin as the Nicolaitans) that the truth, as originally given, was no longer with them. That which these blind leaders of the blind were giving forth as truth was making their converts more the children of hell than they were. Why do you think TPM Believers behave like this with abusing languages and all hidden sins but claiming to be holy?

The deeds of these false teachers are in the second chapter of Revelation. It states “To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, ‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands . . . But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.” (Revelation 2:1, 6)

The doctrines taught by these false teachers are in Revelation’s letter to the church in Pergamos: “And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write, ‘These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword . . . Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.’ ” (Revelation 2:12, 15)

The Lord not only demands repentance from those who believe and practice the ‘doctrine of the Nicolaitans’ but also threatens severe punishment if they do not obey: “Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place – unless you repent” (Revelation 2:5).

Meaning of the Word Nicolaitans

The Greek word for Nicolaitans (Strong’s Concordance Number #G3531) found in Revelation is actually three words combined. As a proper noun, it TRANSFERS, but is not translated, into English. The three Greek words used are Nikos, Laos, and Ton.

The first Greek part of the English word Nicolaitans is NIKOS. We use the English equivalents instead of the Greek letters, as we shall also of the other two. Nikos is defined as “a conquest, victory, triumph, the conquered and by implication, those who are dominant over the defeated.” Another transferred name in which this word is used is Nicopolis. It is composed of Niko, which means conquest, and polis, which means city. Nicopolis, therefore, means the city of conquest, or city of victory.

The middle part of the word Nicolaitans, in the Greek, is LAOS. This word means people. It also is in NICOLAS, which transfers and composes into ‘Nikos-laos.’ This means one who is “victorious over the people,” the letter “s” being in both words the nominative case ending, which is retained only at the end of the word to denote the case, while “a” short and “o” short are contracted into “a” long. A still further transferred use of LAOS is found in the name Laodiceans (Strong’s Concordance Number #G2994), compounded with DIKE or DICE.

The last part of the word in question is TON. It is contracted into a long “a,” thus making the word TAN which is the genitive case plural in all the genders of the definite article ‘the.’ We, therefore, have, without the legal Greek construction, the English hyphenated word NIKOS-LAOS-TON, but which, with its lawful contractions, becomes the English translation found in Revelation.

The question is will those who follow the ways of the Nicolaitans repent? Yes, some will when the tribulation is on. Others, however, will stick to their ecclesiastical crowd, vainly imagining that their boasted “superiority” will carry them through that time of the greatest trouble the world has ever known, or will know. They must go down with the rest of the hosts of Antichrist.

Kingdom of TPM (also many Institutional Churches)

We are living in a day where the Kingdom of God and kingdoms of TPM/Institutional Churches are opposites. They demand a set of Clergy( called Saints) who are extra special, thus creating “rank” in the otherwise Divine brotherhood, all of which DESTROYS fellowship, creates division and strife, and fosters envy. It is no marvel that Jesus hates this, condemns it, and demands the guilty repent.

In the kingdoms of TPM , “great ones exercise authority over them.” This is true regardless of the kind of men the “great ones” are…they have so-called “positions of office.” (A “position” NEVER ONCE found in Scripture!)

The Kingdom of God is the opposite of what we see in many local churches. Jesus’ statement about the great ones “who exercise authority over them is: “NOT SO SHALL IT BE AMONG YOU.”

There are no positions of authority. There is no man whose word has power over another. No one has the right in God’s kingdom to “lord it over them” (exercise authority).

Jesus has spoken and said “NOT SO!”

Did Jesus “Lord it over” the disciples?

Jesus’ emphasis was not on LEADERSHIP or POWER, it was on SERVICE. Jesus’ teaching was “whosoever would become great among you shall be your minister (servant).” “Minister” is not another word for “Preacher” but rather the idea is that of a domestic servant who ministers (serves) to the household by the performance of menial tasks like cooking and cleaning.

Jesus further taught “whosoever would be first among you shall be your servant” (slave). The servant or slave of the first century had no rights. They were property and they lived or died based on the whims of their masters. Jesus thus advised those who desire to be great or chief in God’s Kingdom to serve as a domestic servant or slave.

Jesus illustrated the lesson of service in his own life. He “came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Matt. 20:28). Jesus, to whom God gave “all authority,” led only by his Godly example. Jesus did the most menial of tasks in washing his disciples’ feet. He ate with publicans and sinners. He loved people and finally “gave his life a ransom for many!”

Did Jesus “exercise authority” over his disciples? NEVER! Why? He “came not to be ministered unto, but to minister.”

Jesus led men by his example, not by occupying a position of authority over others.

While Jesus, the Son of God, led only by example, many preachers, teachers and elders believe God has given them “OFFICES” to occupy or “POSITIONS” of leadership and power. Many preachers state it this way: “I have authority derived from Christ and when I exercise this oversight, I am not acting as a mere man; I am acting as a man who stands in an office, an office appointed by Christ and enclothed with the authority of Christ…”

Sounds just like what one Roman Catholic priest used to tell me! The only difference was that the priest wasn’t dressed up in a business suit!

Whenever a “church leader” claims authority or exercises power merely on official grounds, he is essentially a pope and claims the prerogatives of papacy as fully as does he of Rome. He may be a smaller one; his sphere of action may be more limited, but the principle is the same. All the evils of the papacy arise out of the claim of the Pope and his council that they are “specially chosen” and are “clothed with authority” by virtue of official position.

The so-called “eldership/clergyship” is ascribing and assuming to themselves “authority” and “rulership” that even the Apostles would not dream of doing!

Jesus refused to grant the request of the mother of James and John for positions of power. Modern Pastors place themselves ahead of the apostles and believe God has granted to them what Jesus said he COULD NOT grant.

Conclusion

Jesus illustrated this with a life of service and ministry. Jesus lived the perfect example and was, therefore, the perfect leader. Jesus’ only exercise of power was the life that he lived. Jesus was a doer out in the highways and byways – with the poor and rich – with prostitutes and sinners – telling the Good News! This is true leadership.

Whenever a man or set of men assume to exercise authority in a church by virtue of some official appointment, or to assert they have rights and authority as officers above others and assume to exert their rights, they should be resisted even to the disruption of the body. Till when are we going to be prey to these charlatans?

They are lording it over God’s heritage, and are exalting their authority at the expense of the authority of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

It is a shameful tragedy that men will exert such authoritarian rule over the saints of God and brazenly assert that such is in harmony, even the requirement of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a blessing to this generation that there are some brethren who have stood against this insidious evil. We owe these brethren a debt of gratitude for their gallant opposition to this outrageous claim of papal power by those who “lord it over” the church.
