Did Jesus and Apostles believe in Secret Coming? – 1

This cultic organization named TPM has done its best to defame Jesus and his apostles by throwing his words into the trash before their ignorant Laity. They think that they can attribute any false statement to Jesus and it will be established. Unfortunately for them, Jesus cares for his own words and not the twists of these Clergymen.

TPM’s teaching of the “Secret Coming” of the Lord

This is with reference to one of the Points mentioned in the Doctrine Statement of TPM which they falsely attributed to Jesus and his apostles. TPM Believes that Jesus will come a second time in “SECRET” and whisk away their perfected Saints (assumed to be their Clergymen) to Zion. According to TPM, this Secret coming is the first stage of the Multi-stage Second Coming. Sounds like some multi-stage ISRO Rocket launch.

Check out the below portion from the Voice Of Pentecost 2017 edition.

Did Jesus and Apostles believe in Secret Coming

Even though the wordings make their intent clear for long time insiders that the ones caught up in the Rapture are their Clergy(Perfected Saints), they will not openly admit that. It is because such an admission might be the end of their Religious Business. Their subtle teaching is that, as married people had physical relations with their spouses, they are considered “Defiled” and hence dropped out of the race for Rapture.

Even more hilarious is the scripture they quoted for the supposed “Secret Coming“. Let us check out the verses.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1 Thess 4:16-17

Examine the underlined portions in the above-quoted Scriptures.  I challenge you to find a more Noisier verse in the Bible. And TPM Thought that this is SECRET.

In case you did not know the meaning of SECRET,  it is shown below.

Did Jesus and Apostles believe in Secret Coming

Dear Reader,

  1. Do you think the above scripture is a reference to the supposed “SECRET COMING”?
  2. The TPM Clergy circumvents the above question by saying that this shout and noise will be heard ONLY by the so-called PERFECTED SAINTS. Do you find such a mention in this or any other associated scripture? Is not that “Adding to the scripture” (Rev 22:18)?
  3. Do you think the above verses speak of a Sudden Transport as mentioned by TPM?

If I have to make an assumption, Alwyn and Co got duped by the forerunners of the Left Behind Series Movie team.  For them, the imaginative stories of J.N.Darby, Margaret Mcdonalds, and C.I. Scoffield is more important than crystal clear scriptural passages.

What is the Truth regarding this Secret Coming?

In clear words, There is ONLY One Second Coming of Jesus and that is Not a SECRET COMING. Nothing Secretive about his coming. Just as they have multi-tiered heaven, TPM also preaches about a multi-stage second Coming. Such teachings are from the pit of Hell. Do not fall into the lies of TPM and its eschatological teachings. There is NOT EVEN ONE Scripture in the bible which says about a Secret Coming. Every instance of his coming, the second time will be glorious coming in the Clouds of heaven where EVERY EYE will see HIM.  In addition to the Thessalonians verses, check out the below verses.

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. Rev 1:7

For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Matt 24:27

and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you SAW HIM  go into heaven.” Acts 1:11

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:30-31

27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Luke 21:27

26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. Mark 13:26

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. Matt 25:31

so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will APPEAR “A” second time (Multi-Stage coming demolished), not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. Hebrews 9:28

“I am,” said Jesus. “And you will SEE the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”  Mark 14:62

All scriptures which say about the second coming of Jesus speaks about a Glorious Visible and Audible coming. Not even ONE scripture speaks about a SECRET COMING. If there was even ONE, TPM would have produced it in their Statement of Faith.

Are you confused by the above scriptures and the lack of scriptures for a Secret Rapture? Do not worry, such things do happen to people who do not check the sermons and teachings against the scriptures. Be a Good Berean

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11

Then What about the Sudden Transportation?

The Bible does not talk about the sudden Transportation (Intended to be instant disappearance) anywhere.

If anything happens suddenly with regards to the second coming of the Lord, it is

  • His Sudden Appearance and
  • The instantaneous change in our Body to an immortal Body, but still no sudden transportation is mentioned.
  • Sudden Destruction of the wicked.
Sudden Appearance of Jesus and Sudden Destruction of the wicked.

Even so, it will not be sudden for the ones that are ready and keep the watch. Please do not confuse Sudden with Secret. Both are different terms and means different things.

Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Matthew 24:44

Now about the times and seasons, brothers, we do not need to write to you( This is because it will not be sudden for the watching ones).  for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.  1 Thess 5:1-3

Instantaneous change in our Bodies

We will have a changed body at that moment when the LAST TRUMPET is BLOWN.

in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 1 Cor 5:52

The word “Caught up” has been assumed to be doing a sudden transportation to Heaven by our TPM friends. But the text does not speak of the speed but just of the removal from the earth by force. To assume that the people will suddenly become invisible as shown in the movie “Left Behind”, is just good imagination. I have heard of sermons of people becoming invisible during the “Secret Rapture”. If we go back to the scriptures we do not have any reason to imagine that kind of transportation. Rather, we can see a slower transportation when Jesus was lifted up.

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Acts 1:9-10

Therefore, in the absence of any definite text, it is much safer to assume the way rapture would happen should be just like how Jesus ascended to heaven. I guess that would create much awe amongst the wicked of the earth than the sudden disappearance (my 2 cents).

Conclusion

Dear TPM Believer,

I am sure that most of the above would have messed up with your existing TPM Eschatological teachings if you have been feeding on TPM Doctrines. You can, of course, ask your counter questions in the comments section. Unlike the TPM Clergy, we are more than glad to answer those questions. If those questions require longer explanations, we will try to accommodate in the next articles of the series. Till then God Speed.

People(TPM Clergy) Who pride in the false notion that they are preparing the Bride for the coming of the Lord at least needs to know when the Groom Comes.

  1. A wonderful article on Second coming. Once, while I was a staunch follower of TPM doctrine, my Christian friend from another church asked me to expound the TPM doctrine of secret coming thru scripture. I tried to explain him using the scriptures from 1 Thess chap 4, 1 Corin chap 5 and Revelation chap 12 figuratively. He absolutely refuted my stand thru scripture. I then started questioning my understanding regarding the doctrine of secret coming and approached a, prominent and well known by all, TPM minister. When I posed this question, he immediately accepted that the secret coming and it’s timeline, as preached by TPM, is not according to the scripture. I couldn’t believe my ears. I actually believed that he would have some scriptural reference to support TPM’s claim as he usually has verses for any question. Further he added that this doctrine is being preached for a long time in TPM and prohibited me to propagate about the falsity of the secret coming doctrine as this would shake the foundation of TPM’s preaching. That was the instance that made me to question all of TPMs doctrines.

I, now, praise God for opening my eyes that day

    1. When you challenge them and they are not able to provide scriptures, they get very angry at you. This has happened quite a few times. Their second coming doctrine is just a stack of hay ready to be burned.

      1. Sorry brother, I can’t name that TPM minister. This site is being followed by almost all of the TPM ministers (upto my knowledge) who have access to internet and know English. Hence I can’t put him in jeopardy for accepting the falsity of this doctrine, gracefully. Moreover the aforesaid minister too is following this site.

        1. Yes…Brother Rescued from miry TPM pit,,,

It is Indeed a wise decision…

          To Tpm Minister :

          Numbers 6:24-26

          “The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
          And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
          And give you peace.”’

          Malach 2:7

“For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge, and men should seek instruction from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts. “

          1 Thessalonians 2:4

Instead, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, not in order to please men but God, who examines our hearts.

          Galatians 1 :10-11

“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.”

          1 Peter 4 :11

If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

  2. The restricted or unrevealed or undisclosed or unpublished or unknown or untold part or confidential matter for now is the exact timing (or date and time of the rapture) – Mark 13:32; Matthew 24:36.

Many false prophets tried making some predictions (For example Late Mr. Harold Egbert Camping who is a civil engineer by profession and host of a radio station also told that this is not secret. In some of his spoken or written words he mentioned it is very clearly written in the bible – first he mentioned September 6, 1994 and later May 21, 2011/October 21, 2011). Likewise many others did some calculations based on the limited information they found in other places as well as through their understanding or knowledge of Mathematics, History and Science. It didn’t occur or happen on the date or time they predicted. Likewise many more may come up with some information on this to deceive others. A list of those who feel it is not secret and have given some date for this event can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Predictions_and_claims_for_the_Second_Coming_of_Christ

When He comes or after He appears, the secret part of the exact timing of his appearance will no longer be a secret. Also as mentioned above in Revelation 1:7 every eye shall him.

    1. Thank you sister.
This is a series and we are planning to do an end to end cover of the Second coming of Jesus. I hope it will be a blessing to all. Do ask your questions and we are happy to clarify.
