This post is for people who have consumed the TPM Doctrine and their way of life, without any questions. We have got feedbacks from many young TPMers that they do read their bibles. Hence they are not happy by some of the articles and comments, stating that TPM People do not read their Bibles. So before we address this issue, we will start off with a bible story.
Story of the Blind Man’s Healing
This story is from John Chapter 9. The entire focus of the chapter is about the healing of a blind man who was born blind. Click Here to read it. I am sure that all of you might have already “read” it at some point in time. At the end of the Chapter (Verse 39-41), we see a peculiar conversation.
39 And Jesus said, For judgment, I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. 40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? 41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
As we see in the above passage, as far as Jesus was concerned, the conversation shifted from Physical Blindness to Spiritual Blindness. The Pharisees kept harping that they CAN SEE though Jesus knew that they were BLIND INDEED. Finally, Jesus gave them their wish. But it was accompanied by a Judgement.
What do we mean by “reading your Bible”?
We do not say that “you do not read the Bible” with some glee or joy. We say that with great anguish in our hearts. We very well know that all of you are educated people and have the capacity to read your bibles. We also know that most of you read it regularly, as per one of the Bible Reading Plans. The Religious culture of TPM enforces you to read your bibles, often. But Friends, do you think that we are so dull not to understand that? Though we do not want to compare ourselves with Jesus, we would like to ask you a question. Do you think that Jesus was so dull, not to know that the Pharisees were not physically Blind?
It’s shocking to us that you did not understand the meaning of us saying that “you do not read your bible“. If you are living such a life, you are riding on the wave of religious superficiality like the Sadducees in Mark 12:24. You are condemned by the standards of Jesus he applied on the Pharisees. This is because you claim to have read the scriptures. Hence you are sinning by disobeying it. Our intention of putting these articles is not to please you with some cozy words. It’s not only TPM Believers but even TPM Ministers are guilty of not reading the Bible and Following it. Using the Bible to twist and justify your existing doctrines. just makes you more guilty.
If anyone, then, knows the good(after they have read the scriptures) they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them. James 4:17
You should be aware already that God does not care for traditions. He wants you to be serious with the right intent of the heart. It is better to be an Atheist than a Superficial Christian. At least the atheist is Honest with his confession and his actions. We call them Hypocrites whose confessions and actions do not match.
Some Verses to Ponder
…whoso readeth, let him understand:… Matt 24:15
In the above passage, do you think that Jesus was giving a meaningless comment when he was talking to his disciples? Do you think that Matthew wrote this part, to fill up the pages of his book?
Think over. ..Jesus never wants us to read the scriptures at a superficial level. He wanted us to understand it in its completeness. He wants us to apply it in our lives. Therefore, we think it is better to classify someone as having not read the scriptures rather than classify him as a person who wilfully disobeys.
23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. James 1:23-24
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:2-3
I am sure that at least few of you would think that Success and Prosperity mentioned in the above verses have to do with the Material success of this world. That is because the crooked religion has corrupted your mind into thinking Lands, Jobs, Houses, Facilities in life, Cars etc as Success and Prosperity. I would not want to deviate my article over to that part. But would like to let you know that the Most successful person on earth was Jesus and the Apostles follow him in being highly successful. It is stupid to think that the corporate rat-race to keep up with the Jones’s is Success according to God. Think over and meditate what is Success according to God.
Life of Early Christians vs Today’s Christians
Let us compare the life of Christians in 2 different Era and check the quality that came out of them.
|Sl No||Early Christians||Today's Christians|
|1||They Never had Bibles with Them. They had to go to the nearest Synagogue and wait in Queue to have chance to read from the Holy Scrolls||We have multiple translated versions of the Bible in different languages propagated through different medias. You can access the Bible using your hand held device|
|2||Except for the Religious priestly class, none of them would have read the Bibles even once, because of the lack of copies||All of us have the opportunity to read it many times in our choice version and language|
|3||They meditated and practiced on what ever small portion they read from the scriptures.||Most of them neither meditate or apply the scriptures in their lives. They would have however, read the entire scriptures many times over.|
|4||Most of the Early Christians knew how to Spiritually Apply the scriptures in their lives contrasting to the Jews who applied it Physically||Most of them apply what the preacher says and do not take the scriptures seriously|
|5||They did not have the present New Testament Portion in their Scriptures. Every Church had a copy of the Didache' which was a short guide book for the believers||We have the New testament also as part of our scriptures making it easy for us to understand. There is no excuse for you not to follow.|
Today’s Christians are also called Lukewarm Christians who think they are RICH but Jesus Finds them Miserably Poor.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: Rev 3:17
If the scripture does not change you, do not ask God for a harvest because you are not a Good Ground. If the Word of God is sown in the Good Ground, it is sure to yield results. Your inaction to the Word of God is a proof that you are either a Wayside, Stony ground or Thorny ground which is unfruitful (Mark 4:2-20). How can you ever be reading the Bible and not responding to that? You continuing in the same situation following the dictates of Religious thugs in the same Institutional Church is enough of proof that the Word of God has not fallen in the Good Ground.
So dear Friends, Start READING the Bible but not to catch up with a Bible Reading Plan. Understand and spiritually discern what has been written. Do not proceed further than few Verses without understanding it. If you are pressurized and obligated to complete a bible reading plan, you are mocking the scripture. Think and meditate on the few verses that you have read. Let the Word of God germinate and grow in the Ground of your heart. Let it yield a hundredfold. Rushing to complete a Bible reading plan is equivalent to spilling the seed on the unfruitful ground.
Let us start with a simple exercise
Matthew 6:7 forbids us from doing vain repetitions/chanting as part of our Prayer.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Remember, vain repetitions or chanting is Not even a Jewish Tradition but a Gentile tradition(Buddhist/Hindu/Catholic) as mentioned by Jesus. So next time when one of the Clergy asks you to praise for a particular thing how will you respond? Will you automatically start chanting with the laity or will you respond in a different way? Check it out for yourself and see if the Seed of the Word of God is growing within you.
Please make it a point that the Bible goes at least ONCE through you, rather than you going many times through the Bible.
God Bless you.
