A few months back we had a deeper look into some of TPM’s hymns which openly praises mere creatures instead of the Creator. This can be only termed as idol worship. Today, let’s take a look at some of the excerpts from TPM’s magazine and from some of their published books where TPM constantly glorify their ministry at the expense of giving glory to God alone.

You will have noticed that the testimonies published in TPM’s magazines will often endow praises to TPM’s “consecrated servants”. Just the issue from last month had one such testimony. In it, the believer supposedly was in a debt of a few lakh rupees. Since he was unable to pay back the money to the lender, he was told by the “consecrated servants” to forego communion until he cleared his debt. It took him 2 years to clear it and the believer credits the “servants of God” and their advice to stop taking communion for him being debt free.

When I read about such cases of people without any discernment blindly following a church, I realise what reinforces such deception. It was not too long ago that I too was blindly following this false church. It is this constant indoctrination – that believers are helpless without TPM’s “consecrated ministers” – that is to blame. Excerpts like the ones below are common in many TPM sermons but when confronted, hard-core TPM believers deny it saying “TPM never preaches such a thing”. Hence we are presenting you with the excerpts from TPM’s own publications as undeniable evidence.

Before we embark on showing you the wicked ways of TPM Doctrine, we would like to remind you of a verse

Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. 1 John 5:21

Let not these wolves become idols in your life. They have become Idols in almost all TPM Believer’s life. For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Phil 3:18

1. Stealing God’s glory

Excerpt from TPM Publication.

“For centuries now, God has been waiting with much forbearance for a group of people, the elect, to willingly offer themselves to fulfil His purpose. The triune God shares this great responsibility with dedicated people (the consecrated servants of God), and with the willing individual, the holy angels helping as ministering spirits.” (Voice of Pentecost, Feb 2003)

“In eternity, there is no visible temple in the City of God, New Jerusalem. The tabernacle of God is with men. He will dwell with them and they shall be His people. God Himself shall be with them and be their God (Rev.21:3). The glory of the Lord God Almighty, the light of the Lamb, and the brightness of His consecrated servants, will shine out of Zion for ever and ever.” (Voice of Pentecost, March 2001)

These two excerpts sheds light into TPM’s thinking. They think God was waiting for 2000 years for Paul and Alwyn to establish this man-made denomination for fulfilling His purpose as though God is dependent on man. Is it any wonder that the topic of God’s absolute sovereignty is rarely touched upon in TPM?

What does the word of God say?

“I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’” Isaiah 46: 9,10

God is sovereign. He isn’t waiting for anybody any more than he was waiting for Mary so that Jesus could be born. It is God who raises up people for His purpose in His time.

Moving on to the second excerpt,

After waiting for 2000 years for TPM’s “consecrated servants”, these “consecrated servants” will be the glory that is shining out of Zion (at least in part i.e 33.33%). TPM says the brightness of these “consecrated servants” will shine for ever and ever. The reason the jaws of hard-core TPMites don’t drop when they hear such disgusting statements is because they have become so numb to it. They’ve heard such things over and over again and it has become the “truth”. TPM needs a little reminder that God is the creator of all things and the glory that shines from heaven will be God’s alone.

Scripture says,

“There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.”  Rev 22:5

2. Creating a great divide and an aura around them, thus making the congregation glorify their “god-like” “consecrated servants” instead of God alone.

Excerpt from TPM Publication.

“On the day of Pentecost, the Church of God was formed with two groups of people, one group of consecrated servants and another group of believers. Though they received the same Spirit, they differ from one another in their calling and consecration. We are thus brought to the Church of the firstborn (Heb.12:23). God loves the fellowship of His saints. This Church of God will be raptured at His Secret Coming and will form the eternal habitation of God.” (Voice of Pentecost, Feb 2001)

“Since the Church constitutes all who are Spirit-baptized, God, from their midst separates a group of consecrated apostles who have to spiritually and literally forsake their all, so that they, as closer to God by consecration (as the priests of old), could do the service of God to the other church believers who do not have to literally forsake everything. These apostles and prophets form the foundation of the Church and are built upon Christ, the cornerstone, and head-stone, who is the sure foundation” (Voice of Pentecost, July 1993)

Glorifying the consecrated ministryThe next step in accruing glory to themselves is by creating a huge gulf between the congregation and the elite “consecrated servants”. By widening the divide as time goes on, the congregation begins viewing the “consecrated servants” as “god-like” and “sinless” (The same way the Roman Catholic Church views Mary). Anything they say will be taken as a “word from God”. Any song they write filled with praises about themselves will go under the radar and before we know it, the lines between worshipping the one true God and worshipping mere creatures will be blurred. I have seen this happen right before my eyes. After spending my whole life in TPM, it was only after I revisited the songs that I sung growing up in TPM made me realise the kind of idolatry I was into. Most TPM hymns will have one stanza dedicated to praise of these “consecrated servants”.

Another point worth mentioning is that TPM made the above claims without a shred of biblical proof. You will also notice that in the first excerpt, that TPM has cunningly excluded every other Christian denomination from the “eternal habitation of God”. Yet, TPM believers will flat out deny that their pastors teach that only TPM believers and “consecrated servants” are part of Christ’s church.

3. Making a believer wholly dependent on TPM with constant indoctrination. The “consecrated servants” become, in practice, “little gods” whom the congregation depend on for anything and everything.

Excerpt from TPM Publication.

“God has given His consecrated servants as a gift to the Church. They know the mind of God and lead the Church accordingly. By obeying them, we get to know the will of God concerning us, and must endeavour to fulfil it.” (Voice of Pentecost, Feb 2002)

“By virtue of humility and purity of heart, fellowship with the consecrated servants of God and prudence in life, people of God will have wisdom and spiritual understanding that will enable them to know the will of God for their lives.” (Voice of Pentecost, March 2000)

 —–

“Fellowship with the true Church and with the consecrated servants of God is essential if we have to have the wisdom of God to discern His will.” (Voice of Pentecost, March 2000)

 —–

“Having done all that is required of us, we should abandon ourselves entirely to the care and guidance of the Holy Spirit and the consecrated servants of God to get us prepared to meet Jesus.” (Voice of Pentecost, March 2000)

 The above excerpts above are without any biblical support and TPM doesn’t even bother to try. They outright tell you that you are nothing without them. You will be helpless and miserable (and an unbeliever even, if you do not have these “consecrated servants” at your side). Abandon yourselves entirely to TPM? By obeying TPM you get to know the will of God?  This is spiritual abuse plain and simple. Is it any wonder that long time TPM members who have bought into TPM’s deception are enslaved by it?

Below are few excerpts where TPM has found a way to squeeze in verses (as always, cherry picking verses, ignoring its context and injecting their own words between the lines). We shall have a look at them.

Excerpt from TPM Publication.

“Those who endeavour to do the will of God at all costs, first give themselves whole-heartedly to the Lord and then to the consecrated servants of God (II Cor.8:5). When they do this, the Lord leads them to doing His will” (Voice of Pentecost, May 2000)

TPM says if you give yourselves to the “consecrated servants”, Lord will lead you to do His will. But what we see in 2 Cor 8:5 is the opposite. Firstly, the context is about giving to the poor believers at Jerusalem (Which TPM never does. It is not a club to beat believers into submission).  Secondly, the congregation KNEW the will of God before submitting to Paul’s direction regards to giving. Thirdly, there is not even a suggestion that God’s leading His people were dependent upon following Paul’s direction in giving to the church at Jerusalem. TPM is guilty of twisting the word of God for their own benefit.

Excerpt from TPM Publication.

“In the New Testament too, the Lord reveals His will to His servants who have consecrated their all and wait at His feet. They are spoken of as the ambassadors who make known the will of Christ to the Church (II Cor. 5:20). To manifest the will of God who is in heaven to the Church on earth, God has appointed His servants as His ambassadors to the Church and God reveals His will through them to all those who earnestly seek to do His will and strive to fulfil it in all points of their life.” (Voice of Pentecost, Feb 2000)

 Reading this, I wonder if TPM has even read the verse before printing it. Let’s look at the passage.

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”  2 Cor 5:18-21

This passage has nothing to do with “God revealing his will to his consecrated servants”. Paul here calls anyone who has been reconciled to God as someone having the ministry of reconciliation and the message of reconciliation. The message of reconciliation is the gospel. Paul here urges those who aren’t saved to repent and believe in Jesus (i.e, be reconciled to God). Anyone reconciled to God, carries the message forward to the unsaved and therefore is an ambassador of Christ.

But what does TPM do? Using a passage that doesn’t even mention the word “will”, they twist God’s word to push forth their agenda of deceiving people into enslavement.

Excerpt from TPM Publication.

 “The God ordained ministry of such consecrated and anointed servants of God  are trusted with the whole counsel of God…Without the ministry of such servants of God we will remain as babes in Christ subject to envy, strife and divisions (1 Cor 3:1-3)” (Deeper Truths, Page 13)

TPM forgets context again. 1 Cor 3 is about the Corinthian church-dividing themselves over their favourite preachers. For a “church” like TPM which has severed itself entirely from the body of Christ, to use this verse is highly ironical. They are first and foremost guilty of what Paul is speaking of in 1 Cor 3.

“For you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men? For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not mere men?” 1 Cor 3: 3,4

In context, the “infants in Christ” are those who divide the body of Christ saying “I follow this teacher”. Fast forward 2000 years, they are the ones saying “I follow this denomination” or “I follow that denomination”.

Out of all the denominations currently existing, I can’t think of any that is guiltier of such division than TPM. The entire foundation of TPM is based on such exclusivity. In the above excerpt, TPM says you will remain as babes without their ministry. Yet with all the boasting of their “consecrated ministry”, they have missed the obvious meaning of 1 Cor 3 and are living in deception and they are the ones seen as infants in Christ. If you want to grow in Christ, get out of this false church and follow God’s word. TPM’s “consecrated ministry” that will only keep you as infants in Christ.

Conclusion

Dear reader, we have shown you how TPM twists God’s word to make you believe that you are nothing without them.

If you are born again, you are God’s child. God has adopted you and you are in no way inferior to any other child of God. You are a co-heir with Christ. God has no partiality when it comes to His children. You have direct access to the most holy place. You do not need middle-men like TPM’s “consecrated servants”. As long as you are deceived into thinking that they are the mediator between Christ and you, you will never grow spiritually. You’ll only have a false hope of salvation.

I urge you to think on these things.

    Another fabulous work. See the position of GOD and the consecrated servants (????) of TPM even in their publications.

    After reading this article I felt TPM believers are like blue whale game addict. Once they are in the game it is very difficult to come out. If anyone tries to come out of blue whale game there will be lot of threats like kill your paretns etc. Here also identical condition if one wants to come out of TPM there will be lot of intimidation, vilification and insinuation.

    The name itself shows it is not a church, it is a mission. Can anyone tell from the bible any reference of mission instead of church.   10. Acts 12:25 has the word “mission” in some of the versions such as Berean Study Bible, NIV, NLT, ISV, etc. There are a few other verses in different translations having the word mission as well.

    One of the definition for mission is “the vocation or calling of a religious organization, especially a Christian one, to go out into the world and spread its faith.”

      I sincerely appreciate your effort to find the word “mission” from bible through google search to prove your indoctrination. Did you read the entire chapter of Acts 12. You read it without TPM lens, then you will understand the scripture properly.

      But Tpm discourages use of any other version apart from KJV. Obviously the founders had taken the word mission from outside of holy scriptures. The name “The Pentecostal mission” implies what founders were thinking when they named the so called tpm church. It seems – they wanted to spread prominence of “Pentecostalism” instead of prominence of Jesus. Bible says that ministry of Holy Spirit is Christ centred & Christ glorifying.

      Jesus said, Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, …. he shall not speak of HIMSELF ; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: …. He shall GLORYFI ME: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. (John 16:13-15)

      When we look to Tpm they are self glorifying rather than Christ glorifying. Tpm has devised doctrines which spreads things like – we are the only true church, we are apostles, we are consecrated, etc etc.. This raises serious doubts about the source of their inspiration.

In this article you might have seen n number of times they are using the phrase ‘consecrated servants of God” in various publications. If you find something please inform us or otherwise straightway these are all the methods of usurping JESUS with white clad audacious tpm frauds.
