Everybody in TPM ought to know the key verse quoted by TPM Ministers. This is from Colossians 1:28. Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
The above verse has been so subtly twisted in TPM, that it was made to mean something very different from what Paul intended. If you ask a TPM believer, they will say that this verse is a proof that the TPM Ministers are the special anointed ones to make every man perfect in Christ Jesus. But is that what the verse says?
The WE PREACH deception from TPM Pulpits
I have seen many quotes in TPM Faith homes where the First Word is removed. They Remove the “WHOM” word of the verse. They display it as “We Preach….that we may present every man Perfect in Christ Jesus.” For TPM Ministers and believers, the key focus of this verse is the “WE (TPM Ministers)” part and not the “WHOM (Jesus)” part, which they conveniently ignored/removed. To solidify their position in the WE part, they have to make claims to be Apostles and Saints above the congregation.
True intent of the Apostle
If we are to be sincere to the Scriptures, we ought to go back and see the intent of the writer. To know the intent of the Writer, we need to get to the context. In this area, we can get the context from the previous verse itself. Therefore, let us see both these verses together
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
It is so easy for anybody to know the WHOM mentioned here is Christ and the theme is CHRIST in YOU the Hope of Glory. So when Christ is in YOU, you become a perfect Man. The Focus of his entire epistle is CHRIST and NOT HIMSELF(the apostle and his partners). What TPM Does is, Remove Christ from the Focus and put the Spotlight on Themselves. How much more malicious can this get?
For TPM and its Ministers, it is important that they put the spotlight on themselves. This is because the rest of Christendom also Preaches Christ. They needed a Unique Selling Point (USP) for themselves. If they also preach the Uniqueness of Christ as many other, how can they be unique? This is why in many TPM Sermons they keep harping on their uniqueness as Apostles, Eunuchs, Saints etc. They also lay claim to being the authorized caretakers who prepare the bride of Christ through their APOSTOLIC DOCTRINES.
If you are not a brainwashed TPMer, you will know that the focus and the content of their sermons are about themselves. Christ is just a placeholder for them to approve their uniqueness. For many years I have not heard a pure gospel message from the TPM Pulpit. That is because they preach a different Jesus and their Jesus needs the crutches of the TPM Ministers to do his work in this world.
What does the Bible say about this problem
This problem of focussing on themselves and their ministry has been prophesied in the Bible by none other than the same Apostle, Paul.
29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
The purpose of these Wolves (Including the TPM Ministers) is to draw away disciples AFTER THEM. This prophecy is being fulfilled before our own eyes. Unfortunately, the people who are being deceived do not perceive the deception they are in.
Dear TPM believer, You are buying into the deceptive doctrine of TPM because you have not loved the Word of God. You have fallen for the trickery of people who could deceive you with their show business and has taken you for a ride. God is not preserving you from such deception because you love their lies (Psa 119:159,2 Thess 2:11)
The Content of the Apostolic Preaching is never about themselves, it’s about Christ and him Crucified.
but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 1 Cor 1:23
